hehe, not quite. Radknight who bought it knocked them down a bit on price, but they did offer a "few" free tanks of fuel which is fine with me. As I said elsewhere, it's more about making a good relationship with the dealer so that if something goes wrong in the future they'll look after me.

Thanks for clarifying. Do you know of the park lights?

I just thought to myself. Gee, they look good. You would think after nearly 6 months the love affair would have worn off.

Agree the my14 GC's certainly stand out with those sweet new DRL's, gives the GC real presence like you say.
But have to say though, I think the DRL's/HID headlamps shouldn't be available on Laredo, an extra cost option on Limited & standard on Overland & Summit models, same as in the US.

But only for the first week. Grand Cherokee is the benchmark I assure you. I so want to drive the Cherokee though and I must be one of the very few in the world that think the 'waterfall' grill is not unattractive.

You get it tomorrow Snuke? That's fantastic.

If you think about it, it is very smart marketing by Chrysler Jeep Aust, how to get a new model noticed... I have certainly got some looks with mine.

If anyone with a tow bar has a 12 pin flat socket and an anderson plug fitted, can you please post a photo of how it fits. Thanks.

There seems to be a lot of photos of the MY14 in DCR and White but the Billet Silver just looks so good.

Congratulations. It does look smart. I am starting to see this colour on the roads. I also wish I could have & grow those Madagascan Majestic Palms in the far right corner too. Too cold down here.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Has anyone pay attention to the water temperature? I have found the engine oil runs at around 100 deg C +- 5 deg C and when I checked with the OBDII reader the water temp is very close to the oil temp up to around 90 odd deg C. However today, again in traffic the water temp went up to the over half way while the oil temp read 106 deg C.

I don't have the OBDII handy but I am guessing that it is getting pretty hot. I am not concerned about the oil temp as I know oil can certainly run up to 130-150 deg C without any issue. However the water temp is a bit of a concern, it was not even a hot day today in Sydney.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Also I am not able to get the idle consumption figure (in L per hr) using my OBDII reader. I have been able to get it in all cars that I have used this reader with. I am wondering if anyone is able to get that consumption figure?

My MY13 diesel seems to run hotter at times
Mostly when towing and the car sees a steep climb in front f it
Seems to take a jump
I was told by a mechanic mate that its OK as the cooling system now days don't contain just water and the coolant they run along with a sealed system allows for higher temps

But i am still concerned as it normally runs just above quarter on the gauge but jumps to just over half when it sees a steep mountain (this is when towing)
