Easy, none.

SNUKE , glad to hear your wife got the new vehicle home in one piece. My wife had a bit of a panic attack driving it the first time ,after picking it up. She had 2 Klugers in 6 years , so everything was different to what she was use too. All good now. Congrats. (Howd she go with the KNOB LIGHTS?).

Picked up mine today (as did Radknight with his white SRT). Pleasant simple process for me. The hardest part was getting the car out of the showroom.... narrow doors. Put 100k's on it already but now tucked away in the garage till tomorrow.
Congrats DCRSRT
Now it's time to get to know your local service station owner!
Actually, the fuel consumption does get better after about 3000km
Enjoy!!

Congrats to you both.

For some reason DCRSRT I thought you were picking it up next week, however as the old saying goes 'pics or it never happened'.

The gauge is still at temps between the 85 and 108 and in my view this is bad as you don't know to back off to stop temp increase when you are, for example, towing up long hills. Friends with Toyotas report the same thing.

Maybe the Jeep has a real, fully operating temp gauge? It may be the car isn't really getting hot but reporting sensibly across the standard range.

For comfort I'll be adding a Scangauge but I must admit I am heartened by reports of the Jeep gauge at least moving.

Cheers

Jim
On my Prado, the water temp on the Scangauge hardly ever varied and never got above 93 even towing the van up hills - usually 89-90 so I would not expect the temp gauge to move, not that I ever looked at it.

I tried the Scangauge in the Jeep but it doesn't seem to recognise much. The Jeep is not listed as a compatible vehicle on the Scangauge web site. Has anyone else tried a Scangauge and what success have you had.

The controls certainly are different but it doesn't take long to get used to it. I've only had the Jeep a couple of weeks but driving the Prado a few days ago I kept turning on the wipers instead of the indicators.
Anyway, I won't have that problem any more as the Prado is now sold (only 1 day on Carsales.com) and it goes tomorrow.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I just did a couple of minutes of playing around.
I really wanted to confirm that SD XC cards work, an AAC music files.
That is a positive in both cases.
So now I can copy my entire current itunes catalogue over to one SD card, and proceed with ripping all CDs to AAC 320kbps

That audio system, sounds like complete garbage, it is truly nasty.
The subwoofer is an overbearing boomy heap of crap. After tweaking it for a few minutes I think it may be best with surround off, I will have to play with it some more.
I could not discern much of any difference between playing from SD to streaming from phone via bluetooth.
I will put a CD in later to see if I can hear a difference there, I doubt it with the muddled sound this thing produces. NASTY!!!!

Side step guy is not open today, so I will just fit the sill guards and have quick drive down the shops, and maybe up through the twisty hills on the way home.

oh and edited to say - 3500kms in 3 odd weeks. Where have you been going?
3 days after picking my car up, my 10 year old daughter and I headed from Melbourne to Beachport SA to play on the sand dunes for a nice long weekend.
At 300 kms with the ACC on, following my adult(hoon) sons, my CRD returned average 7.6l/100 melbourne to Mt Gambier. It was an absolute pleasure to drive.
Offered the 10 yo the opportunity to drive on the mud flats but she declined(too many spectators apparently), and my wife is too scared to drive it.
Big win for me. Lol
My only concern, any of you who take your ACC equipped vehicle off road, remove the ACC sensor first. You will get a shock at the replacement price.
Regards Murray

Glad you finally got your car but it's disappointing to hear you dislike the sound system. I love the HK system in mine, but I may have blissfully unaware ears. Regarding ripping all your music, I have an old 60GB ata drive with some music on and the uconnect picks that up fine via a cheap USB drive caddy. I also tried a newer 2.5" external usb3 1TB drive (Toshiba? Touro I think) and that works too and like the other drive in caddy, fits ok in the space just above the USB and SD slots. I don't know what size sd card, it will recognise, but it works with at least one 1TB USB drive so that should be plenty of music space for most if the max SD card recognised is too small. I've not tried to play movies, though I'll give it a whirl and report back. I would imagine it would only work when stationary if at all. Like the sat nav. Very annoying. Is there a fix for that so the passenger can enter destinations when I'm driving. Maybe using the VR is the 'solution' to that.

Anyway, congrats Snuke, I hope you find some settings on the sound system that you're happy with.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

This is the card I have tested, 64GB SD XC.
The limit on an SDXC card is 2TB, but that is crazy expensive.
I can't see why it wouldn't work with 128GB SD XC cards or larger.

Hi Snuke, glad your 'ride' has finally arrived, now you have it at last how do you like the interior colour ? I have to agree with you re the sound system, my Ltd is very uninteresting so to speak, sounds the same as my old 4 speaker system in my old Patrol. Chrysler do the big sell on sound systems but they have failed in delivery, I wonder if there is any way it can be improved?
I have just returned from a four day trip Bribie Isle to Toowoomba and beyond, returned average 7.7 litre / 100 which included two trips up the mountain, now at 6600 km and all is well, I know you are going to enjoy your new Jeep, congratulations once again.

I could be wrong, but I an sure I read in the manual that 32 Gig is supposed to be the max that Uconnect recognises ??
