Personal settings linked to Key Fob & Easy Exit Option are both selected.
I have undoing it too, so I can try again, but nothing.

Here is what my manual says

To program your RKE transmitters, perform the following:

1. Remove the Key Fob from the ignition (or change the ignition to OFF, for vehicles equipped with Keyless Enter-N-Go).

2. Select desired memory profile (1) or (2).

3. Once the profile has been recalled, press and release the SET (S) button on the memory switch, then press and release button (1) or (2) accordingly. “Memory Profile Set” (1 or 2) will display in the instrument cluster on vehicles equipped with the EVIC.

4. Press and release the LOCK button on the RKE transmitter within 10 seconds.
Thats one feature I haven't even thought of trying.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Snuke - I found these instructions on another thread that might help you.

Quote:
A. Program a memory preset:
1. Press the START/STOP button twice to the RUN position WITHOUT pressing on the break.
2. Adjust your Jeep's features for liking (seats, wheel, presets etc...).
3. Press the S button on the driver's door and release.
4. Within 5 seconds press and release either button 1 or 2.

This stored your preferences in memory. You can recall them by pressing buttons 1 or 2 anytime.

B. Now you might want to link one of your keyfobs to a memory preset:
1. Sit in your Jeep's driver seat with the doors closed and the keyfob you want to link in your hand.
2. Make sure your Jeep START/STOP mode is OFF!!!
3. Recall the memory preset you want to link by pressing and releasing either button 1 or 2.
4. Press the S button and release.
5. Within 10 seconds, press and release the LOCK button on your keyfob.

To test, move the driver seat position around so it will not match the preset setting, then press the UNLOCK keyfob button. The seat will move back to its preset position.

That is probably the difference, the book says to Press S then setting number, then unlock.
This one skips pushing the preset number again when you push S, straight to unlock.
Will try tomorrow night.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I did read another thread somewhere (but ages ago) that the manual is actually incorrect.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thanks for the confirmation - the dealer told by Canada, then I read about an EU factory but it seemed to be old info...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Canada??? It has never been made there. The most common place other than Detroit was Austria.
Venezuela is another place, but I believe that is only for Sth American supplies.

We were on a first name basis with majority of the customer service staff about a month ago when a particular dealership couldn't identify a faulty fuel pump, and we wanted our money back and the vehicle returned to us at their cost......

Long story cut short they said our car was on the truck back home (about 740kms away) from a different dealer, and didn't arrive within a week, so we called the dealer only to find it hadn't even left the yard. 4 calls every day for 4 days asking for progress reports and making sure that we needed the car back by that Friday (it was a business car off the road for 6 weeks).

Thurs Arvo we found a call saying 'we will reimburse you for flights fuel and labour to get the car back home' because we wouldn't be able to get the car down fast enough any other way.

You sometimes can't expect too much from a company that pays by 'handwritten cheques'.

Philiphoney,
I am amazed by the poor service response you have received , and the clear lack of support from CJA.
I had to have mine towed to the local dealer with 500km on the clock, and couldn't believe I was told I would have to pay an additional fee because the nearest dealer was further away than the allowable under the roadside assistance.
The nearest dealer is 7.7km away!!
Your experience is unacceptable, I have owned 6 new cars in the past 10 years and have NEVER heard of such poor service before.
