Nothing else but that which is advertised. A Chrysler product. Thats the problem with product brochures that describe as in this case a car and its different models. A generic brochure casts doubts upon the various accessories as in this case, the back up camera. (Grid lines excepted on the Laredo model) Again, grid lines missing is no problem but we still would expect a Chrysler made product such as the ParkView (R) Back Up Camera as advertised in their Brochure. Come on Chrysler/Fiat/Jeep/Dodge/RAM/Alfa or whoever theyre called this week. Give us what we paid for and you advertised!! A bloody ParkView(R) Back Up Camera!! When do want it??????? Now!!!!!!!!! Bluey I cant access the Jeep Australia Facebook page now as I have been banned. Can someone else take up this argument on their Facebook Australia page. (Not that it will help at all) ParkView® Back Up Camera The new ParkView® Back Up Camera(4) with ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System displays a rearview video image with dynamic distance grid lines when in reverse. (Dynamic grid lines not available on Laredo)
Anyone had any luck getting a rear view camera put into the Laredo as yet? My dealer is still telling me there is a solution coming but they don't know when. Any information would be great.

A long shot (very long) but two users have reported interference of the fob from their mobile phones causing the lose of functionality. The phones were in their pockets.

Doesn't make sense in your situation really though, since one fob is ok, just not the other... Just thought I'd mention it as an extreme long shot that also vaulted two sharks along the way.

Baa Baaa just had her 10000km service, I guess I have been hiding under a rock because I didn't bother telling my leasing company that she was going in for a service because I though all first services were free.. Got the nasty shock when I was hit with a $479.65 bill.

10,000kms service $182.00
Washer Solution $6.37
Oil Filter $75.40
SynPower XL3 5W/30 $152.00
Shop Supplies ????? $15.05
Rounding.. WTF... $0.02
Environmental Levy $5.21
GST $43.60

Now I guess I will be phoning my leasing company tomorrow to try and get some cash back..

Oh and not to forget that they forgot to stamp the service book and reset the computer to show the oil has been changed..

Current K's 10300 and loving it.

Hi Auscop,
I was only thinking the other day, "where are you" thinking you had dropped off now that you were happy with Baa baa. I only have 4,300Km up so will probably get stung with $350 to $450 service fees shortly with only half the required kilometres. It is surprising you have managed 10000K out in the middle of nowhere. What do you do, like, just go for a drive 200 or 300K north or south, Uturn and drive home again.....and how's the black holding up against the red dust?

I presume you mean a "real" camera as many have a useless non-genuine one fitted. Mine came already fitted with the useless version and I am still waiting for advice from the dealer on what they are going to do to fix it.

There is already a solution. All they have to is fit the genuine camera.

I will give that a go tomorrow.

I did a reboot, no difference, then I did a reset and shit myself.
It restarted with the SRT screen, as in a big red SRT logo, then onto the system, but it had a different background colour, a different grey at first, then switched to blue.

I went to settings, and it was the same as before:

I went through all the icons and hit this:

Heated and ventilated seats, gone, heated steering wheel, gone.

Audio, no surround option, which was fine it just makes things sound worse.
The sound was bouncing through speakers though.
I thought I had screwed it. Turned it off and on again, all problems still there.
Memory settings were still the same though.

I got out, went into house to get my key, cam back and no SRT screen

Back to normal, with one change, when I pushed the VR button, I got this:

It had never shown up before. Of course "Navigate to" and "Find Nearest" wouldn't work for our country.

Anyway, the reset made no difference to the ability program that bloody key.

Still waiting for my camera for the Laredo 6 weeks now...if at least they fit something...at least it gets the wiring installed so its possible to install a decent camera ourselves... however we shouldn't be doing this or thinking about this... Jeep Australia should be doing this and fitting a genuine article

I spoke to josh at Narellan today and he said genuine jeep cameras are available to fit to Laredo. I pressed him pretty hard and he assured me the cameras were genuine jeep part.

G'Day Webber, yep I do feel bad about dropping off, but crap happens and you come back to the forum to find you are 20 pages behind. So you think I don't have the time to read 20 pages, Next thing you know it is 40, 80, then 100..

Yep I am super surprised that I have done 10000kms too. It is about double what I normally would travel. I,work about 30kms out of town, I could normally take a bus to work but since we still have two cars,I have been pretty lazy. last week I took a couple of Yank's for a trip to the Rock, not sure who, loved it.more them or Baa Baaa. Baa Baaa behaved beautifully, was so proud of her.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Any time a UConnect reset to Factory is done, it will show SRT stuff (with the current version).

It may take a couple of hours for it to return to the proper splash screen etc, but you can leave the vehicle off, while it thinks about it.
