Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Any one else get the big green Diesel badge, I haven't seen one around Adelaide. The dealer took delivery of my car today and I saw this on the boot.

Ours is, I think it was part of the mid August tweak.

The nearest dealer is 7.7km away!! Your experience is unacceptable, I have owned 6 new cars in the past 10 years and have NEVER heard of such poor service before.
No joke, I think we are lucky to have such a great dealer in Perth that actually took the time to listen and investigate the matter..

It wouldn't of costed CJA as much money if they took the time to properly investigate the matter. If it comes down to the car running out of fuel ( @ tank) and it's our fault, well isn't that a warranty job for a faulty gauge?

According to kalgoorlie jeep it was our fault, and we had to pay the bill. It was at this time when Simone asked did they check the fuel pump (as the dtc's advised low fuel/oil pressure) and they said yes, we deleted the codes because you ran out of fuel. It wasn't necessary to do any further tests, even ones suggested by us.

Was a similar attitude with CJA service centre with the guy who took mums call and complained about us basically wasting their time and that they will be no longer able to assist us in getting our vehicle back to us (as they had previously promised).

At all levels, jeep need to pull their finger out and actually learn what good customer service actually is.... What peeves us the most was their lack of a caring attitude, lack of professionalism and sexism. If mum couldn't get any response out of them (even with a very sound mechanical knowledge), it sure makes you wonder what response some of the wives of this club would receive.

It's the first jeep that we've bought, with the last 7 vehicles being Toyotas.....it's such a nice car but we've been very disappointed with the way we and others have been treated.

I feel very sympathetic for you Blakey, and I wish you luck in any dealings with them. They can be a painful bunch to deal with, and I sure hope you have patience. If we can get roadside assistance 400kms away, I'm sure you can too!

We've been waiting since mid July... Best of luck! Even the customer service didn't know too much about them either (apparently)!

Baa Baaa behaved beautifully, was so proud of her. Auscop
So you are baa baa auscop!? I've seen your beautiful car a couple of times on grand junction road every now and then (probably a few weeks ago now, but oh well).

I told my girlfriend the story behind your license plate but she still doesn't seem to believe me!

My mobile (iphone) blocks the fob when in the same pocket.

Snuke - that VR command display is a tickable option. Can't remember exactly where it is but it gives you two choices - long or short display. Long is the default for the VR which is why it is now displaying as such.

Or it says something like Full or Brief. Something like that anyway. You'll find it.

Philiphoney, must be a different Baa Baa, mine has N.T. plates (BAABAAA) and so far has not been to SA, except for a quick trip through the Claire in July. Forum member mkmydnr in Darwin has (BAA BAA) he beat me getting the plates but I beat him getting them on a black Jeep. my guess is he may have been holidaying down your way.

That would explain the issues I have had on occasions. Just went and tested it and sure enough the iPhone blocks it.. Good to know it not an issue with the car.

Either that, or someone has stolen the joke?
I'm pretty sure they were SA plates too!
