I absolutely hate having to go and speak with the finance people every time I would like specifics regarding purchasing an extended warranty.

Does anyone know exactly what the Jeep factory warranty costs(average/best price) and is that the only warranty that will allow me to be serviced by any jeep dealership when utilising the extended warranty?

I currently have a 2009 Volvo S40 T5 AWD, and love the fact that the Volvo extended warranty is exactly the same as the original new car warranty, but for just an additional 2 years with unlimited Kms and roadside assistance.

Does Jeep offer anything like this or will It vary from dealership to dealership with regards to the extended warranty products they have on offer? I live in Zetland and have found Suttons Roseberry extremely unhelpful when trying to get clarification of this issue. In addition to all of the production and other queries raised on this forum.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers
I ordered a MY14 Overland today and the dealer offered extended warranty to the standard 3 year manufacturing warranty to 5. I was advised that this extends all elements of the warranty and there were no exceptions. Obviously the fine print would need to be looked at, but the cost was about $2500. Haven't decided yet to take up the offer.

Take a look at post 832 on page 70 of this thread. Give Paige a phonecall and put your questions to her.

Going to sound pretty stupid, considering ive already placed an order for one and paid the deposit, but what is the standard new car warranty that jeep offer? Ive never bought a car on the length of its warranty.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Just before delivery of our 2012 CRD in March 2012 I looked at extended warranty very closely, mainly due to the pushing from the dealer add on lady. I thought it to be a very important item, due to Chrysler Aust spares pricing policies and the complexity of components in the vehicle.
The outcome for me was:
Chrysler Australia didn't at that time offer an extended factory warranty.
All extended warranties on offer were sold via dealers and were provided by 3rd parties (such as Allianz).
Pricing varied between $2500 and $3500 and the fine print was quite different in what was covered, and applicable conditions.
I was very uncomfortable forking out possibly $3k+ for something that wouldn't be accessed for $100,000k or 3 years down the track.
After getting all hot and bothered I was relieved to finally get an email from the dealer sales manager confirming that the extended warranty on offer from them could be purchased at any time during the period the vehicle was covered by the original factory warranty.
Immediately extended warranty went in the too hard basket and I'll address that again when and if it becomes imminent.
John

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I ordered an FY14 Overland CRD in Jan, and recently asked for info on the Australian standard spec - got this really bad responce:

Hi Chris,

Grand Cherokees are made in America, Europe or Thailand. There’s no Australian made Grand Cherokees. They are all made to the same specifications

Hope this answers to your question. If you have any questions in the meantime send me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Have a great holiday

Regards
KnoxJeep

I have to say, I think there is a capability gap here!!

Genius, absolute genius you have there.

Might want to tell the guys in Michigan, that sometimes they are really in Europe or Thailand, a holiday and they didn't even know it.
