Cheers SNUKE, I can only imagine how bad the Goliaths look with the brake dust these things produce. My poor old Spiders are filthy after just one day from being washed. Might have to nick the ceramic pads out of my FPV lol.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

So the pics that I see where there is an SRT badge on the side ie: just past the front passenger door, I assume then, that they have been added by the owner.

I also love the metal pressed SRT logo on the black exhaust thing (I don't know what that is called - what is that bit called?)

It looks fantastic. The thing with the GC, is that when viewing it, there is actually no bad angle no matter how you look at it (even in photo's). How often do you hear 'But it looks better in the flesh'. That's not the case with the GC and I think that is the hallmark of good design. No bad angles.

I could be a tad biased of course. (but I don't think so).

How are you enjoying the drive?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Yeah any other SRT badge has been added by owners.

The pressed thing your talking about is actually the tow hitch cover/bezel. It's ABS plastic with the SRT embossed/recessed into it. They don't come this way standard, I had to buy it. (but apparently in the US you get this bezel when you order the towpack)

All of my 500 odd k's have been work related so far . But i'm meeting up with two other SRT guys tomorrow over a beer so we may begin talks of a drive day. I've also floated the idea of an SRT club with the local dealer to see if they would sponsor the club in some way but early days on that yet.

Well, at least it does in mine.........
This is the same place I ticked AUTO, but I cannot tick + or - for day or night when I select AUTO???? Regardless it works well, and changes when day/night accordingly.

Oh... I see - It's looks great. They should make it standard.

Sorry, if I've confused anyone, but I considered the day/night option to be specific to the sat nav day/night screen - I have not noticed there is anything else which changes from day to night mode...

Thanks mate.

It's a comfort to know fitting is done at factory. This will be my first Jeep, first 4x4, first CRD, and first Red. Hence, I wanna do as much homework as possibly can beforehand.

So how do you check TSBs apply to your car, rely on good faith of dealer? With respect, sometimes, they're unreliable. When asking dealer n Chrysler for info, it's as if try to squeeze near empty tooth pasted tube.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Ok, just going to put a feeler out there with regards to a JGC meet-up within the Sydney region. Have been in discussion with husband.

I'm not sure what people are thinking about with regards to a get together. Some people might prefer a '4x4 drive day', other's (due to perhaps the constraints of their Jeeps) may prefer just a meet-up. I'm not sure, hence the feeler.

To that end though, we are happy to host a general meet-up/get together day here for those that are interested. We are about an hour or so south of Sydney and have room to park in excess of 50 JGC's on the property. (I want that pic )

It will be a BBQ/general nag type of get-together I'm assuming and checking out each other's Jeeps. Property is also 'child-friendly' with a soccer field and swimming pool and plenty of room for kids to muck around.

Just a feeler at this point but probably looking at sometime in mid-January if people are interested.

Whatcho think?

I don't know of any way other than relying on the dealer. Maybe someone else does. I asked for the HVAC tsb to be applied before I collected the car, but my suspicion is that it was not - but I don't know how to check this. The recall ought to be simpler to confirm, if only because it is mandatory.
