Picked up my new JGC SRT today. Very happy :-) Rained all the way home though. Hope to get some pics and put them up tomorrow.

Just a feeler at this point but probably looking at sometime in mid-January if people are interested.

Whatcho think?
Great idea SJ & L,

You can throw in a free service with every arrival while the BBQ is on.

Strike a deal with your Jeep dealer, he'll jump at that one, a mobile MY14 service centre at your place!!

Let me know when to book in!! I should be ready for a 10,000k's by then.

And then the kids can jump in the SRT's and do a bit of paddock burning with heaps of doughnuts!! Great family fun while the groan ups hit the grog then get done for DUI on the way home!!

But dont put this grand event on Facebook SJ & L, we'll get invaded by the hoons from allover.

So to that end you should get over 500 MY14's . You'll need some form of security to keep the hoons out. Slip over to Bondi and I'm sure you'll be able to get plenty of big K1W1's there for some bouncer work. (cash in hand)

And set up a big circus tent for the sleep overs for those too sloshed to drive home, thats a must.

There you go SJ & L, Ive got it all organised for you. Should be a blast!!

Lets know when its a goer, ohh and dont forget the public liability insurance for the... was going to say the kids drowning in the pool....but more for the groan ups taking a submarine dip at midnight whilst still under the weather.

Great initiative SJ & L!!

Bluey

We could also have a Jeepkhana too!!!

Most of the times it happens as the car infront pulls into a drive way and you are driving around it.
I've turned the active braking off. It's just too twitchy and aggressive. The final straw for me was when it slammed on the brakes at about maybe 15kms/hr and screeched to a stop in the middle of some traffic lights. Apart from the spectacle and embarrassment, it could easily have caused an accident. At times, it's not necessary to have a two or three car length gap in stationary traffic, especially if there's only room for 1 car plus maybe 2m of space after the intersection. If somebody was close behind, I could easily have been rear-ended. In the eyes of the law, it would have been their fault, but I would have known the me and my car was to blame really. I still have the beeps just in case I'm asleep or otherwise not paying attention but it does get spooked very easily, especially if an adjecent lane has traffic banked up... Maybe the recall will improve this behaviour though it has been in for uconnect upgrades sine the recall was announced and may ready have the 'fix'

Yeah, thanks for that Hymer. I take it from your response that it is a ridiculous idea.

Understood.

For the record, we frequently host large gatherings here for Sydney and intra-state people for an interest external to that of Jeep. It's never been an issue.

But I understand. Apologies for suggesting the idea.

Salmo, congratulations on your arrival and belated ones to you Salmo, always been saying Salmo, you would get yours first although mine was on an earlier ship. Still stuck in Sydney waiting for transfer to Melbourne. Got a really good deal but the waiting is driving me nuts !

I'm just cranky about the idea because I'm in Adelaide. Ratz.
Hope you all have a great time.
If anbody has a drone with a camera I would love to see some overheard shots of all those GC's.

Real sorry to hear you are still waiting
My dealer was really good, listed me as a priority because of my holidays being really close and the need to get some Km's up before towing.
Hopefully things get moving for you.

" kids drowning in pool" = Aussie humour ??? I don't think so pull your head in mate and think twice about what you say, too many drownings in back yard pools, you crossed the line on this forum.
