So I took my GC to the service center today and it was behaving on the drive up, smooth shifting and only one bleep from the front sensors. So typical, whenever I take it in the GC seems to know and starts behaving, which makes the diagnosing of problems impossible.
So the service guys seem to think that the sensors are part of the recall, it had crossed my mind that this could be the case. TSB applied and the problem resurfaced on the drive home. Arrgghhhh!!!
With regards to the rough shifting, as I said, the GC was behaving on the way up with only the odd noticeable rough shift. They applied the TSB for the rough shifting and it seemed to be smooth on the way home, jury is still out until at least a week of driving around.
I also get a distinct vibration at about 800-1200RPM's when going up a slight grade in 3-6 gears between 30-45kmph. It is definitely a transmission vibration yet they seemed to think the TSB would also fix it. Since it was behaving on the drive up with only a light vibration, the jury is out on this one as I'm pretty sure I could feel it on the drive home, albeit much less noticeable.
They also thought that doing a wheel balance could fix the issue. I said it is definitely not a vibration from wheel imbalance. They did it anyway, I just hope that I don't end up with a vibration at 100kph now.
They updated my uConnect to the latest version which I am happy with.
All in all, frustrated with the sensors which makes me suspect about anything else being fixed. I'm on holidays so if it misbehaves I will have the time to drive it to the service centre and make one of them jump in to feel my pain
