Hi Gforce & mmcrh
I have used Bowdens Leather Love and Leather Guard a couple of times. Definitely better effect when used in conjunction with each other. Give an excellent finish - interior smells great for weeks after - new car type smell.
Used a couple of weeks ago to prepare for hot summer sun.

Thanks for positive feedback. I'll definitely use it when I have the car in January.

Same here, Cricks Noosa fitted my tow bar in July and the sensors do turn off when I tow a Trailer.

Cheers,

A proper wiring harness will have a plug that has a small magnet in the cap. When the cap is closed (unconnected to a trailer) the magnet acts kike a reed switch in that in keeps the sensors wire closed (sensors are active). When you open the cap (trailer connected) the magnet no longer has contact with the rest of the plug so the circuit is then open (sensors deactivated).

That's the long way of saying mine works, fitted at Castle Hill Jeep.

Jjhohan - your issue sounds similar to mine. I think I will have to contact the dealer for this 'cut out' problem.
As others say, the cruise control is great for increasing/decreasing 1/1.5 km/hr at a time. I was unaware that it clocks up 10 km/hr if held down longer - will try out today.

Colozzie

Ive been trying out what works and what dosent with the cruise...and confirm it only happens when you hold down the set speed+ button for a couple or more seconds...Ive been working around it by incrementing speed on the highway with single second pushes of the set speed+ button and the cruise has not dropped out once. Off to the dealer tomorrow and will discuss this issue.

Cricks sound like one of small number of Jeep dealerships who know anything much about JGCs. I went through the towbar / sensor thing on getting ours and no one here in WA knew shit. Actually, even the brains trust here were of the opinion only "cut in" wiring solutions were available and no plug existed for a trailer harness to disable the sensors.

On well... it's a good thing I like wiring.

Ciao,
Steve

Oh well Justin, I queried it in the Towing Thread 08-17-2013 and 09-04-2013... didn't get anything confirmed. Ozzy Park, Vic Park and Wangara didn't have a clue.

Maybe you need to pay LCT for "the luxury"?

Ciao!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

This may have been said before, but how good are these cars.
I've only managed to get 500kms on the clock, but everything is tight, no rattles, no clunks or squeaks. All the panels are a pretty good fit inside & out (I had to level the bonnet a little above the headlights). Trying to not exceed 80kms is a battle, need snooze control for that. Still got to fine tune some of the dash display and figure out how to turn off the Nav girls voice before my wife tries to punch her lights out. (seems to be some irritation there).

Is this a Genuine Jeep trailer plug?
How long have you had it fitted for?
Can you post a picture of it?

Cheers

I did that the second we got in the car at the dealership, it was one of my first questions when I sat in the MY14 for the first time, voice overs drive me insane.
