Yes mine dose it.
I think it has something to do with the key fob driver memory.
If at the time when you set up the memory system the A/C was at 21 degrees then that is what it will be on every time you start the car.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi
Is the 2011 diesel engine block identical to the 2014 US model GC diesel engines? I thought they are both VM Motori V6 3.0.
The reason for this question is to see if can fit the 2014 diesel engine heater as fitted to US 2014 model diesel GC to my 2011 GC export model diesel engine? Jeep dealers here in UK answer is it is not listed in the parts list. ( 110v power rating not a problem as I will be using a step down transformer).
Thanks

Mine sits at what ever temperature was set previously.
But, the seat ventilation would come on most times I would start the car. This had me puzzled, turn it off, back next I start it. I worked if your press OK to UnConnect screen when the car first starts it will default to what the settings are on that start up screen. If you don't touch OK this startup screen will time out and everything stays the same as the last time you were in the car.

Just have to work out the set up of the start up screen.

Warren

So far so good with my car just a few minor things that will be fixed at 1000km service.
Well fwiw, left foot braking was taught by luffs advanced driver training many years ago for safety reasons - it was taught because reaction time was quicker and drivers were trained to cover their brakes as they approach intersections etc.

Leaving your foot resting on the brake causing the rear light to illuminate is the outcome of poor foot control and nothing at all to do with left foot braking.

This was trained in Sydney by both the training schools at Oran park and Amaroo raceway respectively - dropped around 1997 or so, because too many people just can't get the hang of it.

But yes it's mild, and I wouldn't want it any brighter. I like a very dark cabin at night.
You have some familiarity with Melbourne if you know the clientelle of Thomastown. No underbody lighting. I've actually been very conservative as it turns out. No additional bling, no side steps etc. just multi-coloured Ambient lighting with a Uconnect screen on "bright" mode. I am still awaiting someone to buy and show the headlight surround chrome. That could look "dressy".

Yes I did see your lighting, (couldn't miss it), it looks fun. I think all you need now is a mirror ball hanging from the rear view mirror, and maybe a verticle chrome pole in the middle of the car.
I hope your not taking the "mickey" out of me.

Keep us up todate. I well know what the waiting is like and I still remember pinching myself with disbelief the first day I started driving this car home from the dealers. Scared stiff with not being familiar with the bulky, boxy size, surrounds, distorted rear mirrors etc. but I sat there driving thinking to myself this is "an incredible car". I could not believe that there I was driving a "top of the range" car because as far as I was concerned I was in the drivers seat of a car that gave you the pleasure, feel, exhilaration of driving a car many times it's value. Remember to post a pic.

Hey thanks for that after a few calls and emails today, it has now been confirmed that I can collect from Laverton this Friday at lunch time, want to get back across Town again outside peak hour. Yes I might be a bit nervous to start off with having sold my Calais about 3 months ago and been getting round in an old Camry ever since, will be a massive change for me.

Salmo like I said a few times, although mine was on an earlier ship, always knew I would run into delays with so many hops to get the car to me you were always going to see yours first.

Again thanks everyone for your comments, assurance and help along the way.

Tried our Laredo tonight. It was set on 21 but changed it to 23 and turned the car off. When we came back later and started the car, it was on 22.

Never used left foot brake to be honest. It's been odd because the problem hasn't reoccurred. Not sure if I should be worried but there's nothing I can do except enjoy the ride and wait to see if it happens again. Managed to get all the VR stuff working. It has trouble recognizing names in my phone book. Simple stuff like call MUM or DAD. Keeps bringing up random names instead. Is this an issue all around? I know the Nav has issues but didn't think there was issues with making calls via VR.
