I've fitted a Dashmate by Chevron to my MY2014 Laredo. It covers all of the dash area including where the passenger air bag is located. The mat has a flap that lifts if the bag inflates. I went for black to avoid any windscreen reflections.
It is a good fit.

I couldn't find any in stock locally but when in Adelaide I went to an auto spares place where I paid for the mat and was sent to a warehouse to collect it. The mats are different for Laredo (Part No. DM 1237) and (DM1236) for Limited/Overland and SRT.

Speaking of accessories, has anyone come across a Bonnet Deflector / Protector in clear acrylic? it's a strip that fits across the leading edge of the bonnet. Mopar have them available in black and chrome only.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

My current Falcon and the one before both came with a clear bonnet protector, in both cases I took them off after a month or so.
I forgot I had done it to the first one, but remembered it when I did the second and why I did it in both cases.
They catch a lot of dirt under there and are stupidly hard to clean out properly. You really need to unbolt them and remove completely each time you want to wash the car or is just clogs it up.
In the case of my older white Falcon, the dirt ended up leaving marks into the paint.

We had one on the Pajero, and it had a bigger gap to the bonnet, thus allowing it to be cleaned out far more easily without the need for complete removal.
Ultimately I don’t think it did much.

I have not seen a GC one in person, but I would take note of how much or how little room there is for a good clean out to happen before I would part with my cash.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Whilst on the topic of Falcons, I had an FG XR50 with a ZF 6 Speed auto. I do recall when the cruise control was set, the car would maintain the set speed, even down hill, also gearing down to reduce speed. This ensured the set speed was never exceeded. I do note the same is not the same in the Jeep, and going through Melbourne's "speed trap" tunnels, the Jeep gains considerable speed. It's a pity the computer is not programmed in the same manner to manage speed limits.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I thought others said it does do this. I haven’t gone down a hill steep enough to notice it. I really do appreciate this feature in the Falcon, I was always shifting down with the old 4sp, but I don’t touch the shifter with the 6sp.
I also appreciate the big feedback of what speed the cruise control is set to. It still boggles my mind that with all the disco flashing stuff in the EVIC, it will not give you a confirmed set speed for cruise control.
I know the US guys said it was part of the Advanced Tech package.

Saved the bonnet on my Outback, it had a couple of nice star fractures.
I was thinking I would like the headlight protectors for the same reason. I do a fair bit gravel road driving on my holidays and I'm convinced they stop stone damage as well as some 'sand/dust blasting.

Recommended Service Centre in Adelaide?

Can anyone recommend a "good" service centre in Adelaide?
I have just purchased a JGC Laredo CRD and was not too confident with sales people so looking for a recommendations on a service department.

Consider the clear film like that just in front of the rear wheels. I bought 3 rolls on eBay but didn't get to fit them before setting off on this trip. The paint damage from stone strike around the leading edge of the rear wheels is significant. Fortunately no bonnet or screen damage... so far.

Cheers,
Steve

I bought mine from Belcar on Glen Osmond Road. I haven't had a service yet, but so far they have been quite helpful.
