Once they wake up after a 3hr siesta, they get to work. So yes 6hrs seems fair. Sounds like your dealer needs to switch to Opal fuel. Edit: Just realised the 2hrs I was quoted by local installer may have not included installing brake controller. I just crawled under the car, I can't see how it could take 6 hrs without electronics being included. the 2014 bar has a different part number TO MY11-MY13 - AUS2014WKTB
LOL.. Thanks SNUKE, I'll keep an eye out for the Yankee hit men. As soon as I get a nudge bar fitted to the front it should equalise the weight differential and all the missiles should be good again. Will do a bit more investigating over the next few days and may just tell them to stick it and fit it myself. I may post the same question on the Yankee forum..

So, total time from drop-off to pickup which included: - Service (oil change/filter change/rotation of tyres/general service stuff like brakes etc) - N58 flash - towbar supply and fit - air cylinder check/remove and resecure was about 5 hours. I think the towbar supply and fit would have taken maybe an hour and half, perhaps 2 in all of that (?) but I can imagine they perhaps would have done that whilst the N58 flash was doing its thing. (just a guess though). 6 hours does seem excessive.
Thanks SJandL... Great info, since I have already had my 10000k service including the N58 it should not be more than a few hours...

Well I guess you would consider ~$1500 a rip off then, that is how much it will be if they charge 6 hours labor.. Time to have a heart to heart with our local dealer.. Chances are I am getting the "You didn't buy your car off us" special pricing..

Good to know SNUKE, $1200 I can live with anything over that and there will be questions.. Luckily I jumped on working 12hrs Christmas and Boxing Day... Kuching Kuching..

There's a "step by step" on the US side here... it's reasonably comprehensive in conjunction with the included instructions. It wasn't the price that motivated me to do my own install, it was the fact I couldn't secure a MY14 plug and play system and don't want anyone dicking with the wiring. If someone is going to dick with it, it's going to be me

Plus I want to silence the rear sensors when connected

I'll take some pictures as I do it. I've got to get it done soon or I'll have to jump the Prado to drag the boat to the ramp

Ciao,
Steve

You could download the Windows version, or pay a few bucks to the site and get it VIP. There's coke off hookers backs at the after-party

Yo.

Thanks Steve, not sure if I will do it myself yet, but for sure will be calling to question the time..
