Interesting, this will make many happy, and piss may others off.
I noticed there were no Overlands on the floor at the dealer I was just at.

Peter Warren – Warwick Farm, it is a petrol V6.
Saw this a while ago. The dealer told me they sent the grill and wheels off to a local place to have it all painted up. Looks good though.

PS: had the Jeep since July and no problems with getting it marked, only area that is of concern is that side panel beside the accelerator pedal, it marks easily if you scrape the tip of your shoe on it when getting out.
We be fickle creatures Gforce.

Both Sam and I are happy with the black interior of the Overland but I (have not discussed this yet with 'The Master') am leaning towards a lighter interior for the Cherokee.

I am concerned about the door panels though and scuff marks, specifically black scuffs. Butts, does it really buff out easily?

That was at a dealer in Newcastle, however I just picked mine up from panelbeaters (kangaroo- new front bar) and it will now accept factory tow hooks

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Finally got time to give an update.
Still love it even though I only get to drive it 5% of the time, it went into Nepean Motor Group for its 1000k check a few weeks ago and all I got to say about them is they seem nice to talk to. The misaligned tail gate and passenger side tail light didn't get fixed, they just took photos for Jeep Aust. The ACC and climate control still playing up but easy to live with until next update. Drop off was unorganised and painful, pick up was unorganised and was told the Jeep was in a certain spot which was empty and then had to search for it. They are close to home so I will see how they go with a proper service before I go elsewhere.
I also got the windows tinted and the tinter pointed out before he started that 3 of the demister strips were not formed properly (can see gaps in the metal) and said he has seen a few of these with the same problem, I got him to tint anyway as I know jeep will move slow to fix and for the sake of 3 strips and the amount of times it gets used its not going to bother us.

Got a chance to tag along on a trip to Mt Walker near Lithgow 2 weeks ago, and was extremely impressed with this thing, love the low range and hill descent control, I don't like the sound of the suspension toping out though on its top level but from what I've read it's normal. I was a bit worried about the Kumhos but the handled it fine with only a couple of small chunks taken out, might wait until I get some coopers before going on the next trip.

P.S. did I mention I love this Jeep

Snuke is right about what you will say next, has there been a design change for the tow hooks to be added to the later models, or has there been a solution found for all '14 JGCs.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

There appears to have been a design change as the front bar has some of the tow hook kit already on it, the front mounts, to make it easier to install. It looks similar to the American bar or pre 2012.
I have a Mopar set of hooks that I was going to fit to the "European style" front bar that I previously had. I was just going to bring the hooks forward about 10 mm and make a bracket to attach to the bar and the hooks. I'm sure some one will.

it would be interesting to know where the line is in the sand for this design change. I suppose us early purchases will be left stuck in the sand with this issue. Having said that, I haven't needed a recovery yet and have spent a bit of time on Morton Island, but it would be nice to have peace of mind that if you need help, you have a solution and not a problem.
