If people have nothing to do over the weekend, maybe you can enquire at a dealer about part number "AUSWK14HOOK". I think this may be the recovery hook part/s on the Overland.

Overland with tow hooks at Hunter Prestige Motors, Gateshead, Newcastle.
I didn't look under to see the front mounts but they looked very much like my mopar ones just smoother and chromed.
I have just finished installing mine.
My Last Overland had the "plus sand = fail" problem which was an absolute disaster(loss of GC, holiday cut short) so I'm lacking a little faith.

I do note the same is not the same in the Jeep, and going through Melbourne's "speed trap" tunnels, the Jeep gains considerable speed. It's a pity the computer is not programmed in the same manner to manage speed limits.
From the owners manual in regards to cruise control

Using Electronic Speed Control On Hills

The transmission may downshift on hills to maintain the vehicle set speed.
NOTE: The Electronic Speed Control system maintains speed up and down hills. A slight speed change on moderate hills is normal.

On steep hills, a greater speed loss or gain may occur so it may be preferable to drive without Electronic Speed Control.

Thanks, very interesting.

Do you have a part number for the ones you installed? Where did you buy them?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

So after the comments from the forum, I went to the local dealer and picked up my Tow Bar, got myself a good project for the weekend. Will let you know how it goes.. Total cost of the Bar, wiring harness and tow ball(s) ( 2 of them... will return one as it has Ford stamped on the top) .. $733 about $80 less than I was originally quoted..

Did you jag one of the MY14 release ones, or is it the earlier style?

Cheers,
Steve

So if you bend the front you get an "upgrade" when it's repaired? Oh Jeep...

It's quite a stroke of good fortune given it sounds like you already had the hooks.

Cheers,
Steve
