If I was looking at a black 4WD it would be another story, but for now I'm set solely on a white limited with black interior.
We love the black interior on our Overland Zi-SRT. I know you're looking at a white exterior, but the black also offsets the Deep Cherry Red exterior really well.

Got the car back this morning OK.

The dealer seems to think that the PDF warning and limp mode is normal and not a fault.

Seems odd that some people seem to get an actual warning.

Might have to take it up with Jeep Autralia directly.

I wonder which of the things we report as faults Jeep Australia actually consider abnormal???

Cheers,

Did the $10000 upgrade for $70, by installing the Limited chrome insert on my Laredo.

Put the mesh Summit inserts in there and really bling it up.

Don't rub it in Milous, but hey, I would not have got the light frost interior with a Summit, and I was so disappointed in the brushed aluminium rims. The Overland rims look classier to me. Maybe I will buy a Summit with the next complete major body change in a few years time. Grand Cherokees have stolen the market from its competitors in Australia and I suspect they will be doing the same in the US and even perhaps in Europe. With that being the case I cannot see Chrysler letting go of this new found position in the market so I am hoping the new look Summit in a few years time will blow us all away. By then my Overland will have aged somewhat, perhaps gained a scratch or two and will be ready to do some real off-roading including around Australia trips and into the outback with the van on back as I join the other grey nomads. Good to read comments from you again.

Bluey, I'm still waiting on you to lead the way with those chrome headlight surrounds.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Got a fright today. Placed a flat tyre from my Kanga (mini bob cat) in the back of the Jeep to take to the Tyre Repair. On the way, at one point accelerated too quickly and heard the dirty tyre slide back and make contact with my rear interior door. On arrival I had big dirty, black rubber tyre rub marks imbedded into my beautiful light frost interior.
Was really disappointed but soon relieved. Soft cloth with (dare I say it....a bit of spit on it) and it lifted easily. Then removed several black shoe scuff marks from the drivers inside door. All on light frost. Now I don't know if it is because I did have the upholstery protection done but I can report it all cleaned up handsomely.

Am I missing a rubber seal on the left just under the lip of the bonnet? There's one on the right.

Mines the same (also a diesel). Looks to me like the seal is to prevent (or reduce the chance of) water getting to the air intake.

My Laredo is like it too. Dealer was surprised too and checked with Jeep. It's extra protection for air box intake.

No you're not missing it, as above, air intake side only.
