Fitted? That doesn't sound too bad. Would be interested to hear your impressions once it goes in.

I saw a Summitt in Melbourne yesterday. I wasn't overly impressed. I'm more than happy with the Overland look.

No, that is just the part. I can't get a fitting quote from a dealer until they see what is involved. In a sense I'm going into this blind and I'm a tad worried how it will work without the footbrake getting in the way. However, it is a factory part so is should be designed for the job (though I've learnt never assume these things with Jeep) and there doesn't seem to be any complaints from the UK.

Have any of the UK people posted pics of final result?

Couldn't find any discussion on this at all. I'm just going by information that these have been popular in the UK and I haven't found anything negative (...or positive).

Does the UK version have the electronic parking brake?

I am known to having wanted a Summit. I have also expressed my disappointment on this site when I sighted one at Werribee Jeep but it was a black one. I referred to the cheap looking wheels in particular. Was talking to JosephR today and he commented upon how he had heard that the Summits were not selling. The comment was made that customers cannot see the value in paying the extra dollars for a Summit. I wonder if those observations could in fact be an actual outcome in customers not embracing the Summit?????? SNUKE? I bet you're the kind of guy that will now post on this site the current Summit sales for Oz. I like putting pressure upon you 'cause I know you have the "IT" skills to find that info if available.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I'm going out to give my girl a big kiss and cuddle in the morning 'cause I think the Gods are looking down upon me with kindness. So far an amazing car which has basically been faultless. Drives beautifully, floats on air. Just amazing value. It's not good reading this forum and reading some of the bad luck you guys have experienced. I keep thinking, "when is something going to go wrong for me too!"

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I suppose it's good for Shannon 'cause he is selling so many Jeep GC's now that basically I am getting feed back that he is selling them for list price. I have referred two potential buyers to him within the last couple of weeks but the feed back has been that he cannot get enough cars and no need to move them out at bargain prices. Guess I was a hell of a lucky guy in that area too 'cause I certainly got a good price hugging in the very low 70's (and he gave me a towing kit) but Shannon did get a commitment from me to keep quiet so "mums the word Shannon". I did tell him I appreciated his helpfullness and would mention him on this site which I have done many times. I do wish he could return to the Shannon of old though....oh well, I guess that's business when reality tells you that you have a damn good car to sell. Anyway, I've had a damn good experience with this car and I will once again say, "Thankyou Shannon".
