I used some KIWI SCUFF BLACK shoe polish and then when it dried wiped over with a cloth to blend it. Not a perfect match but better than seeing the scuff marks - and easy to remove if it does not please you. Good luck!

The older they are, the more you will be right.

Well to give people an idea of what a 2011 Overland CRD is worth, I was offered $46k as a trade on a SRT. I paid $76k for it and I only have 32k km on the clock with FSH and no damage.

I must say it was about $5k less than I had hoped and about $15k short on what I owe on it. This is primarily due to getting a 5 year lease and trying to get out in 2.5. This car was initially for the wife, who keeps cars longer than me.

I will order the SRT once the electronic park brake is confirmed for the MY15 model and sell privately, as they seem to be in the mid $50k's on car sales, if you can find one.

Resale is about 62% after 3 years, and I think 44% after 5 years.

One of our issues is the LC Tax and this amount is never recovered on resale from the original purchase price

Do you mean 44% after 5 years? Even that seems high, but possible I guess. I'll be happy with 35%.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I remember that article now. I spent some time trying to figure out depreciation but gave up. You kind of have to hope the reputation of the brand and model holds up, and that nothing comes out that blows it out of the water value wise. The latter seems unlikely. The former will be interesting to see! I'd hate to be a VW owner banking on a certain resale value and watching them take a public shellacking over their DSG issues.
