Yeah, for sure. I 'spose, owning a Garden Centre, I could try convincing the tax man that I need that luxury cabin cruiser to collect some aquatic plants out of the river.

Mines built in Nov, yet still suffers from ACC malfunction.

I agree. There may have been advantages in early builds 'cause I collected my car in mid June and it has been nothing but F A N T A S T I C. I love the Active Cruise Control. I reckon that feature is worth 10 Grand. I use it all the time everywhere except in heavy traffic on suburban roads. With the Automatic lighting (particuarly high/low beam) there will never be going back to a car without those features again.

That's my point - you're a late build after the Stop/Start feature was introduced. I'm probably clutching at straws but something has changed. There are too many reports of it happening from owners. It's software driven. It doesn't have a mind of it's own (unless its heuristic, which it's not).

I dunno.

I presumed that stop/start feature u referred to is NOT available in AUS market?

But I thought it was. I thought that all post-August builds came with that feature including export models. I could be wrong of course. Need to research more.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Argh - I can't find where I read it ages ago.

The code for 'Cruise with Stop' is NH3 I think on the build sheet.

It is a feature of the MY14 Cherokee arriving mid-year. Maybe I'm getting confused between the two vehicles but I'm certain I read here that it was part of the post-August '13 MY14 GC builds.

Anyway, probably not anything to do with the ACC issue - it was just a random thought I had.

Yes, it is, for Overland.

Thanks again Snuke, I need to play with those buttons again or at least read the owners manual. I have never owned a vehicle with so many menus and sub menus to look at. Cars are getting to be more like aircraft.

Reading today says 74% Oil Life - last reset 6000+ odd kms ago - I'm rounding here (reset done at 10,000km service though) so another 3000kms or thereabouts (a bit less) until the next service (20,000km) where I'm sure they will change the oil and filter again. Happy with the changing regardless of the EVIC notice. I know most will not agree, but we are using Helix Ultra Extra 5W-30 per what the dealership uses. Gforce - I also emailed Shell about 3-4 months ago with same question. My response was pretty much the same as the one that you received a few days ago except for the last warranty sentence that was in your reply. They've obviously added that in their standard reply in the last few months. It hasn't changed our mind though with regards to using Helix Ultra. The Overland is running brilliantly with no issues to report. No transmission issues, no PCM issues like the cruise control one that has been reported, no Uconnect issues (other than VR for Nav), no Regen issues... no nothing. It does have a cleanliness issue though.
Yes I thought that last line was a little strange, if the oil meets the international standard then that should be it, I'll be using the Shell Helix at my next Service.
