Aghh - dealer not happy because he wants your trade - don't think so. Just sounds like he is trying to shift old stock.

But congrats - enjoy the wait.

I sorta did this when I changed my boat last year. I traded my old boat in June and left it with the dealer pending my new boat arriving in December . I don't use my boat in the winter anyway and it gave the dealer a chance to shift it in the run up to summer. But it was on the proviso that I could borrow it, or if they sold it they would loan me another if I wanted a day out while waiting for delivery oft new one. Anyway my new boat arrived in December - old one is still siting on their yard....

Yep, I ordered end of November, should arrive late March.

You can track your order, I signed up and been checking daily:
Track your Newly ordered Jeep or Chrysler vehicle here at JeepGarage!

They want the trade now because the value of the trade may have dropped in 4 months time.

Congrats. Waiting till June '14 appears acceptable to me although I know it is hard to wait. Cashmere??????. Yours may be the first one of that colour on the road for an My14. Out and about today I counted 6x White., 2x. Crystal Granite and 1x Jet black SRT. Surprised how few I saw today but I did make......
ONE OBSERVATION: I notice a lot of the earlier models (11 - 13) driving around with one front driving light out. I see so many I am concluding the quality of these lights cannot be of the best quality. I do hope we do not see MY14's driving around in the future with one side of ribbon lighting out (DRL).

I have a question about engine braking or engine lugging. Any comments are more than welcome.

The episodes I experienced happen a few times only on downhill when reducing speed : 1) I used peddle shifter to reduce from 8th gear down to 5th gear, braked at the same time to reduce speed from 80km to 50km. I heard a noisy sounds like heavy friction between tyres and bitumen, and could feel that the car being 'pulled back' to slow down (foot brake already off). As soon as I deactivated peddle shifter, and increased speed, the noisy disappeared; 2) used foot brake only to reduce speed from 110km to 90km, once the foot off the brake, the car picked up the speed because of down hill, again I heard the same noisy and felt that the car being 'pull back' to slow down. Once I accelerated and increased speed, the noisy disappeared.

My question: is this the result of engine braking (my gut feeling) or engine lugging?

Yeah come to think of it, I have noticed that too.

I'm not familiar with the term engine lugging. However what you described is the car recognizing that you are heading down a hill and you have hit the brakes, so it anticipates that you may want to slow or maintain your speed and automatically downshifts to 'engine brake'. Most new cars do this.

Tnx for the comments. That's what i thought as immediately before the noisy surfaced, I could feel that the car slowed down momentarily albeit the foot was off the brake.

I don't know much about engine lugging either. Did some googling, some forums explained it as car travels slower than engine. But I suspect it's more than that.

Oh, so the engine flies out the front of the bonnet then. Must be some serious breaking to cause that.

Seriously though. Lugging can happen when the revs are to low for the engine to run smoothly. Usually only happens while accelerating unless the revs are very low.

If I understand correctly, does lugging happen momentarily when accelerating but rev does not respond? Normally, when press accelerating pedal, rev responds and goes up. Under what type of driving conditions the rev lags in response and cause lugging?

In to good old days, engine 'lugging' meant that the engine is straining under load, eg: trying to climb a hill in too higher gear.
