Mr Treebeard's solution will depend on requirements... the maximum input requirements for the breakaway system should be considered before tapping off any existing supply.

My intention is to do a new thread for the wiring as these big threads are hard to find things in.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks SNUKE, it would be nice if it actually did what is printed on page 29 that at 80% you should get a regen message. But I suppose they are not even sure seeing how most of the material is published as XX% full.

Oh dealer phoned up Friday night and has not seen our car yet, left Wednesday afternoon still may be travelling round the state, so keep an eye out for it. If it is never seen again at least we get a new one!

Sorry grog, where was this voucher sourced from?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

It was on the Aus Mopar site AGES ago.
They were dumb enough to don’t put an expiry date on it, so everyone has been using it constantly.

I sent an Email to Mopar about this and they replied that you need to speak to the Dealer prior servicing to confirm if they will accept it.

Oil Filters
Just a follow up on the Filter thing...
The original part number for the CRD Filter 68229402AA has been superseded to 68109834AA. (Confirmed by Mopar).

A Jeep Dealership in the USA has them on special for $27.00 USD.
Makes you wonder why we are paying so much for them here.

PS: Thanks again Snuke for the link to the download site re the Diesel Manual, it certainly contains some interesting info, one thing that surprised me was the item about the idle down times, they seem a bit long to me.
I wonder if there is an international / Aust version of this manual.
Did you know that our CRD engines are supposed to be the Middle East version which are built to handle the heat better. (saw this in a press release some time ago).

Hi. Has anyone is Australia installed a lock pick on GC14? Did you do it yourself or get someone to do it? What's the impact on warranty? Thanks in advance.

If you check your last service invoice it should show you the part number of the oil filter fitted to your vehicle.

Gotta wonder why Jeep don't allow a manual start of the regen system.....

My guess is because they want you to be at speed to avoid smelly gases and the extreme heat damaging anything your car may be parked over....
