We don't have kids, but do plan on trapping the misses in the car as I direct it into the dam, and need to make sure she can't get out easily.
Wait, did I type my murder plans on an open forum??? So silly of me.

Actually I just want to know that is what it's for.

Wagons are no good for locking people in the boot - you can still hear them screaming. Sedans are so much classier for this activity.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

So do the GC's have a boot ? Since the DPF problem on the 12th of FEB I can report it hasn't happened again, as far as we know because we haven't seen the car since it left on the 19th for Perth. I do believe that maybe the truck it went on and is coming back on may also have a DPF problem and be doing the 4000km round trip in limp mode. Jeep assist phoned me up last Wednesday and said it had missed the truck and would not leave till the weekend, surprisingly enough the dealer phoned the wife up the same day and said he was watching it being loaded on the truck as they spoke. It seems that Jeep cannot get their bullshit together, so here we wait to see what condition it comes back in.

Your story is shocking peanut - I'm suprised you haven't told them they can keep the jeep and send back a Toyota.

Peanut did it go to Ozzy Park? If so, I could drop in for some detective work... you have to walk past the workshop if you park out back

Cheers,
Steve

Yes it did Steve but its should be here today or tomorrow according to Jeep assist. Funny thing the Verve photo voucher for $1200 arrived today, posted on Friday, Australia post beat the GC back.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Peanut, The voucher is useless, as the $1200 value is total BS. They will take some nice pictures, then you get a 8x10 picture "free" but you will be shocked by the cost of their other pictures. They will put the hard sell on you to buy $1000+ packages that are questionable in value. Just do a Google search on what people say about this. I got one and told them no thanks. They kept asking me to bookin, but I checked them out before I booked and worked out it is a scam. I would be surprised if these cost the dealer anything.
The dealer should be embarrassed to send you this, as they should have given you something that actually had value.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Peanuts Post;

"Well the DPF saga continues for now, after visiting the Jeep mechanical rep last Thursday morning and being told he was waiting on his licence for the machine from Jeep (assumed renewal) please phone up Friday.
No joy Friday, please phone back Saturday, no joy Saturday please phone Tuesday, (see where I'm going with this), phoned Tuesday morning still no joy, phone back this arvo, now put it in the wife's hands I'm at work and no longer have time.
She makes the call and now he tells here he doesn't know when he is getting his licence back better call the dealer in Perth!
Spoke to dealer in Perth and they explain that when the DPF had its first case of constipation and he done the manual burn, they should have changed all the oil and filters and it would not happen again.
So now they tell us to ring Jeep assist and have the car transported to Geraldton (1350km away) to the nearest dealer.
Phone Jeep assist and explain it to them and they are very helpful and offer to sent it 220km to a mechanic at Karratha, explain that the dealer wants it to got to a proper dealership give them the guys name and number and they will ring back Wednesday.
Road assist phone back Wednesday morning Jeep is now going 600km north to Broome, still not to a dealer but a service agent (not real happy about this as I have read reviews about this guys work to someone else's Jeep) but hopefully things work out.
But wait there's another change of plans Jeep assist phone back again the truck driver will be there Wednesday arvo and the Jeep is now going to the dealer in Perth (1700km away), any way it has been picked up put on a truck and gone.
Phoned up the gentleman at the dealer ship to ask while they have it to give it the 10,000km service, he says what! last he heard it was going to Broome.
So if anybody, anywhere, spots a Maximum Steel Laredo with roof racks and a dark bonnet protector on the back of a truck please point him to a dealership and let me know where it is."

Sorry Peanut but I fell of my chair laughing at your story.

Surely a Hollywood script writer couldnt have come up with a BLACK COMEDY story line as good/sad/pitiful as this?

Its an absolute disgrace and the bad part is with all the LIES that have been told to you.

Try emailing the story as pasted above to Chrysler/Jeep/whoever executives. May or may not help. Didnt help me but no harm in trying.

PM'd you.
