After reading these posts I checked the net and a few blogs on the other brands. Sorry I can't see where they are having the same issues? There are posts of incomplete regenerations due largely to city driving, and this is fairly well known with all DPFs, but unless I am looking in the wrong places, I see no general complaints with those brands of lack of regeneration even with country driving, or any that have had no prior regen issues and then suddenly it appears, and not one regarding a regeneration warning and then straight into limp mode. These do appear unique to Jeep GC 2014 series.

So it is not only a Jeep problem!!
See above post - this is not the same problem many are having with their Jeeps. The fact that your mate is able to drive and to clear it out and presumably gets a timely warning before hand is not quite as a serious issue. As an analogy, it is a bit like car X running out of fuel because the tank was left to run dry while car Y runs out because it has a fuel leak. It is not valid to say because car X ran out of fuel they have the same issue as car Y. Sure they both ran out of fuel but one was due to driving style and the other is a system fault.

Few results there from Pajeros, Mazdas, Nissans, Alfas, Audis, Toyotas, BMWs.....

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Can we please move ALL talk of DPF to the DPF thread - Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Geez SNUKE, what a party pooper. It's not like this site is running hot like it did a year ago when several pages a day were entered. If we keep hiving off things to specific threads that's fine but we may as well close this thread down because there will be almost damn well nothing on it.....and besides there are lots of non members viewing this site that would not have a clue how to get into all the various threads....and SNUKE a secret between you and me....I damn well can't get into most of them myself. Be a little kinder to the older generation that are not as good as you in navigating around these sites.

and SJandL....good question. I stopped using that function a long time ago because it could not understand a genuine Aussie accent. I will try it in the next few days and come back to you. I have been told by helpful members like JosephR for example that I should persevere because the computer starts remembering your commands. I do not know if that is true or not. Are you trying to tell me that your VR with songs is working perfectly?

Just as an aside.....JosephR was telling me that his Uconnect is definetely remembering his voice commands with the VR phone calls as it is getting better the more he uses it...so maybe I need to use this function more but my wife keeps doing her head in sitting next to me whilst I try giving commands so I have dropped the procedure to keep the peace.

Ok pardon my doubling up if I have, but I've tried to use the thread find on this app and come up with nothing as the app and site are hard to use. But is anyone experience rear clunks in the shocks still? I've had them replaced under warranty 6 times yet they still do it and I've got the response now from the dealer that they know there is a problems and a working on a fix but won't be doing anything more
Till there a fix and basically it's my tough luck. I love my car and has been trouble free since picking it up July 3 and now 20 odd thousand kms but this is a pain in the butt and wondering if other people Are hearing this or should
I seek legal advice ? Cheers

No. Really? You still can't VR songs and artists or genre?

What version of Uconnect are you on? Tell me it is at least 13.39.51. Go into Settings and then System and tell me what version.

I will at sometime this week, burn you a new SD card that populates all fields correctly, with all your fav's on. (Well I'll put Elvis on at least for you and the rest will be a surprise ) and I will test it in my Overland to make sure all's working well with VR and I will send it to you via your business address.

I really don't think changing accents nor repeating the same thing over and over to 'Jeep Girl' will make her understand.

Without wanting to start a war, I tend to agree with Snuke. I have said it in the past, but no one was interested in listening, so what you have ended up with is a thread with over 10,200 posts, and some of those Posts have key information.
Unfortunately, much of that information is lost in the sea of comments, which is a pity.
The thread started out as a MY14 release information, which really has run it's course.
Why not start threads with specialised matters? It sure makes it a lot easier to follow, and even more important, find the answer to the issue you confront.
Cruise Control, Recovery Hooks, Towing, Remote Start, all have specialised threads, and I for one certainly find it a lot easier to find information in those threads, without trolling through these 20,000 posts.

WEBBER - Oh yes and also to answer your question - I can say:

- Play Genre 'Rock'
- Play Artist 'The Eagles'
- Play Song 'The Last Resort'

etc

... from the SD card.

I also say, 'Change Media source to Disc' and it changes, coupled with 'Play number 5' or whatever song number of that disc.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hey SNUKE, looks like I'm starting to lose this argument already, even before you come back on line. I will have to try and see if I can find some of those threads just mentioned. However, I will be somewhat sad to see this thread naturally die but I suppose it will be inevitable when we all find ourselves on the MY15 thread.
