TLDR

I saw a MY14 DCR Laredo yesterday and really didn't like it. I normally like the DCR. When I say a Limited later it looked better. Something about the amount of black plastic on the Laredo didn't sit well with me with the Red. An Overland would look even better with the colour coded trim.

Personally I think the best colour for Laredo is black as black plastic blends in easily. DCR does look good on overland complemented with chrome.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Any of the dark colours are good. I barely notice the black side mouldings on our Granite Cyrstal.

Buster01 - I suggest you start a new thread for your wheel search, otherwise your request will get lost here. That's what I did and I had replies in a day or two and got the wheels I was after.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

There's nothing like DCR in an Overland IMHO. (I may be biased)

Exhibit A: Taken this evening - I've edited the pic to remove most of the child (finals night tonight hence the trophy).

The Jeep was unintentionally caught in the shot because there is nothing like dining outside having your Jeep parked right next to you.

Agree, the colour does look nice. Chrome stands out better on DCR than white, but ....that's not insects and other debris across the bottom drivers side front guard is it?......and how come the kids cleaner than the car?....and you at least have him colour matched.

For what it's worth I am in the Webber camp. Baa Baaa has been 15,000kms and not one hint of the problem I am not allowed to mention. I will admit she drives a 60km round trip to work each day.. She has been almost perfect. Only issue I have is with the audio and VR, on occasions you will tell it to play a certain album, it will confirm what you said and continue playing the current album, not moving to the one just stated.. As I just said... In the Webber camp... LOVE my Overland... Auscop

Hmmm, could this be less to do with consumer choice and more to do with dealers stocking neutral colours? Most people will settle for a neutral like white, silver or grey, but if the dealer has red, green or blue in stock they are less likely to be accepted by a buyer....?

That is my theory, all I see are grey or silver SUVs in the local shopping car park.

I really didn't like the colour coded trim on the overland, particularly in DCR (sorry sjandl). I think it is because in red it makes the body look slightly larger, and the wheel well look smaller. In darker colours it wouldn't be so noticeable.

Mine cost just over $500, the big expense was the $164 oil filter, it might be worth your time to ask for a breakdown of the cost.
