I remember a GF of mine borrowed my Maloo ute in the 90's. Had a watermelon between the seats when it rolled and hit the gear leaver with enough force to go from drive to park at 80km/h..... blew the box and bent some valves In the 5.0..... Holden covered the lot no questions asked. Even put a new set of rear tyres on with no prompting after the 40m skid marks she left. I wonder if Jeep would be as obliging.

I've heard of people shitting themselves, but that is impressive.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

SJandL,
Followed your voice prompt suggestions and worked pefectly:-
Play Genre Rock....worked perfectly
Play Artist The Eagles....worked perfectly with 5 additional artists examples called out.
Play song The Last Resort.....got a success rate of 15 out of 15 songs
Change media source to disc....worked perfectly.
Play No. 5...worked perfectly and threw in some other track numbers as well which all worked.
Then I tried a few commands of my own like..
Play playlist...recently played...successful
Play playlist....top 25 most played...success
Play playlist 90's music....success
Play playlist Christmas...success.
Tune to 693 ....switched to radio.
BUT....when in radio I did not know the command to switch back to music so it would not go.
However, I went to make a phone call and wrongly pressed the VR button and gave the command "call Radford" and Jeep girl knew I had pressed the wrong button by my command so she told me and asked me if I wanted her to press the Phone button for me. I said yes...and she did. She's brighter than me when it comes to computers.

Nice to hear from you auscop.
Not sure if you are with me because you have a trouble free car or you are with me because you tend to believe in the concept of posting in this forum instead of the specific selected forums as suggested by the guru SNUKE....but, (fingers crossed)..If you get a good car then you have a hell of a good car. I feel for those experiencing unacceptable problems like "limping home" when they have been driving correctly, ie distance trips over certain speeds. Is Baa Baaa starting to discover other friends in the Alice or is she still a lone sheep?

G'Day Webber, I am with you on both counts. However I do understand SNUKE has a point. Baa Baaa does have a few more friends in town now, have not seen one close up though, just in passing on the roads. By what I can tell she is the only Overland, however a guy who works at the same place as me has an Overland arriving within a week. Looking at possibly taking Baa Baaa on a trip in early July, not sure where to yet. Also looking in to getting the ECB bullbar, I find it better looking than the ARB, don't care at all what ARB have done with the ACC sensor. I would really prefer not to get one at all, however I do work shift on occasions and after driving for 30+ yrs I know my luck with missing roos will most likely run out one day. Especially since I give the Yanks here so much crap who leave after a couple of years and are proud they only have hit one or two of them. Murphy is bound to catch up with me one day.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hey Auscop, now with the reintroduction of unlimited speeds in the NT, have you had a chance to take Baa Baa to the limit ?

Just had my 10000km service and have noticed the oil life is still showing 55%. Called the dealer and they said they must have forgot to reset it and that it does not actually 'test' the oil. Should I be concerned that an oil change wasn't done?

I love it how forgetting stuff isn't a problem. Make some checklists guys!

What's it look like on the stick?

Cheers,
Steve
