If there are other reports of this then I'm inclined to say it's the same issue. Yes it idles very roughly for about 10-15 seconds from a cold start. Even a couple cold starts exhibit the same issue.

After a drive (like to the dealer) and the engine heats up, the problem goes away.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Currently touring Tassie so have been out of touch recently.

We are currently nearing the 9000km with two more weeks here and then the long drive home to Queensland which will put us well over the 10000km for the service. As we are towing a van, we are considering getting the service done in Melbourne so would appreciate any comments on service centres there. The two most convenient seem to be Essendon and Bundoora.

We could also consider Bendigo or Shepparton if they rated highly.

The Jeep has been performing flawlessly easily handling the towing over some very steep hills and a few pretty rough roads. No recurrence of the DPF issue.

Ok, here is a thread on the issue over at aus jeep forum:

WK2 Diesel Rough Idling - AUSJEEPOFFROAD.COM - AJOR

There may be a thread here about it as well.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Just an FYI with regards to Uconnect and the pairing of two new mobiles.

Uconnect version is 14.05.03

1st phone (mine) HTC 1 - paired immediately, downloaded phone book. Set as Favourite. (Thanks for the rec Snuke - nice phone ).

2nd phone (his) iPhone 5s - paired immediately, downloaded phone book. Not set as Favourite.

All features (that we have available in Aust) work seemlessly with both phones.

I was a bit concerned that we may have issues with the iPhone reading the US threads but all good.

Just thought I'd share.

Following did not work for me with iPhone 5S:

When an SMS received, it does not let you call back the sender.

It works with HTC.

Ansamoiz - That's interesting. I have tested the HTC with send and receive of text with my phone. All good and I can verify.

I also asked my husband to test the send and receive of his iPhone. I did not monitor his testing.

He said all good, but based on your reports I think I need to revisit his 'testing' of the iPhone.

He is out tonight with the Jeep at a meeting, so I shall contact him and have test it on his way home. Stay tuned...

Thanks for the heads-up.

Indeed - Tested and sending text via the iPhone 5s does not work. Told him he should have purchased an HTC.

I was in Tas for 5 weeks (Dec - Jan) and only saw 2 and one of them had Vic plates. But to be fair we weren't around towns to much.

I'm in the north of tassie and a trip to launie on any given day you'll see 4 or 5.

There was a black srt parked outside a cafe hunted up the owner and had a chat.... Loved his srt... No problems at all.
