Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

hopefully it will all get sorted and I will be able to sing the praises of ECB, Jeep and the company who are fitting it (whose honesty and integrity is a breath of fresh air)

I have seen a nudge bar combined with a bash plate but it might have been American...

I played with VR function, and came across the following:

VR 'showing controls', the screen jumped to Controls as expected. But once in, it simply didn't wanna get out, i.e., VR 'switching to radio' or 'switching to navigation', the lovely female voice repeated the commands alright, but the screen fixed on Controls. I had to manually switched out of Controls. There's no problem VR switching between, e.g, Radio and Navigation.

Has anyone out there come across the same or similar problem?

I get the same issue when I tell it to play a particular album. It will repeat my request, "Playing album xxxxx" It will then stay on the album it was already playing. This is very hit and miss as a couple of days later it works perfect. I just figured it working as designed. It was programmed by a wife, let's you hear what you want and then does as it pleases. Sorry girls.

I was having a similar issue with my old iPhone 4s that I use as a media device. What I found was that the update to 7.0.6 killed the iPod VR functionality. I recently updated it to 7.1, but was still getting the issue. I then jumped on to iTunes on the Mac and re-synced all my iCloud songs and then completed several downloads of songs, once all downloaded, I reconnected back to the JGC and started the car and all was good again. I hope this helps.

I feel for you guys that need the Bars 'cause they are so ugly completely destroying the appearance of what makes this car look so flash and why you probably chose a Jeep. There is a fortune to be made for the first engineering company to design the quick fit and removable ECB bar etc. Put it on for the holiday and then return to normal appearance for local driving. It's got to have huge potential.....I'd then buy one.

Have not discussed this with the dealer... They couldn't reset my oil warning after changing my oil, I had to Google it. So I placed this issue way out of their league...

Have to agree Weber, however that I live in the middle of no where I can really benefit from one.. I have gone 30+ years without hitting a roo.. Luck has to run out one day.

I agree. An easily removable nudge bar would do the trick. Actually I've seen some nudge bars didn't look to hard to just put on before a big trip.

Funny, I love the 'Jeep humour' developing along with the new and long standing issues yet to be resolved.
