Regen in stop start traffic? There is something screwy with their programming....

Be good to hear their response... If we get one. I'll have to Google what "Full Integration" means.. I thought it meant the $h!t worked.

I am not surprised that you haven't heard from them after your 1 email. I have sent several that they didnt see the need to reply to. In fact, my husband got sick of waiting so he rang them.

Of course, they blame the installation and assure me others have worked. I have asked them to provide the contact details of 3 installers so that I can confirm this. I pointed out that I needed this information immediately as we are going away in 4 weeks. I assume they will send through the information 1st thing tomorrow morning as this is now a matter of urgency for us. If the radar doesn't work they need to return our car in original condition, with the bumper bar...which they will presumably need to order from Jeep...groan.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Jeep tell us that the spare wheel for our Overland is 18". Our car has been with the bullbar installers for 2 weeks(ARGH!) and so I cant lift the cover and confirm this (doubting Thomas!). Can someone with an Overland please confirm this for me and advise what tyre is on it?

Many thanks

Was under the Grand and in the engine bay today, trying to find the "post service" rattle I've been upgraded to. I couldn't find anything... oh, other than the rag the grease monkey left under the bonnet during the recall works.

Awesome. Please don't work on my car again thanks.

Back to the noise, it actually could be a staccato brake or bush groan. I'll have to hit it again when I have a helper. Any clues in the interim?

Cheers,
Steve

Where does the rattle come from ?
There were 2 causes of mine, hvac hoses where they go into the firewall and a heat shield on the drivers side front cross member. Hope that helps Beggsy

That would have been useful information hey?

You're spot on though, and I remembered your post about the heat shield so was poking around there but couldn't fault it. I'll check the lines... they are the refrigerant ones yeah?

To be clear, the noise emanates from between the very right corner of the firewall to the sill underneath the driver's door. Not that it moves around... it's just hard to pinpoint.

Thanks for the tips Beggsy, I'll have another look tomorrow. I'd take it to the dealership... but... you know...

Cheers,
Steve

Just on the spare tyre Buster (in case you do need to use it on your travels), it does not have the sensor attached.

Got a flat a while ago and husband changed the tyre on the side of the freeway, and then discovered the lack of sensor on it. It doesn't matter - got the original repaired and put back on, but just a heads-up. No sensor on the spare so until you get the original back in place (or equivalent), the EVIC will continually report a pressure issue (or lack thereof) with the spare.

I know.... 3 trips to the dealer, foam between the refrigerant lines close to the firewall and further down and it wasn't until I spent time underneath moving everything possible that I found it. At what speed does it occur ? Mine was above 80 KPH.
I did a search on rattle earlier on the forum earlier and found some additional places to look. Cheers Beggsy

Just what you want. An oily rag next to a hot exhaust manifold.
