Many moons ago I had a Camry ( yes i know - it was a company car) that would regularly get a piece of gravel caught in the top of the brake caliper, would flick up from the tyre I guess. It would make a metallic sound when brakes were applied. I became expert at reaching in behind the wheels and cleaning the gravel out.

Wonder if its from the oil temp getting pretty hot and being on the angle splashing around it reads it as being low? Either way, my oil levels at both times was normal. Also in regards to the corrugations - if you can leave it in normal ride height i find the bumps fine - obviously as we raise it it gets worse, but alot better then other cars ive been in.
Thanks Kayezy, good to know I'm not the only one. My oil wouldn't have been overly hot, I was just in low range crawling but the track was fairly rutted so the oil would have been splashing around. I'm starting to wonder if jeep actually took this car off-road before releasing it, it should be labelled a soft off-roader.
Since fitting the ARB bar I have actually been driving around a lot in OR1 to stop the wheels rubbing, so yeah I was most likely in OR1on the drive back from the beach that day.

2015 JGC is in production. Anyone knows what improvements are?

No it's not.
MY14 order banks shut April 18.
MY15 order banks open June 9th.
Production starts in July.
US dealers receive first cars in August.

Aus received first MY14 four months after US, so I guess we can expect them in showrooms in December.

You can see this MY15 thread - Changes for 2015?

Milous will be starting an official MY15 thread soon.

The 2015 VIN decoding is already out. Reasonable to think that it's in production.

No; there are some mules, but as above for actual dates posted by Milous.
That is his WK2 site you're referencing. There are basically no changes for MY15 so the difference in VIN code is the simple year change, and the swap the do in serial from starting with a 1 to a 5 as they do each year.

2014 on the left 2015 on the right.

The MC3, ECS or long life?
Also, the small chip on the drivers door, what caused it?

I will have ask about the oil.
The small chip was mentioned on JG recently. It was in line with crease in the lower section of the door, immediately above the 'Grand Cherokee' badge. When opened the fold in the drivers door is very close to the rear passenger door.
(Hope that makes sense)
Cheers
Steve
