Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Testing Testing. I haven't been on line for a few weeks. Have been getting ready for a large plant sale on Home - Webbers Garden Centre.
Have not read any posts. Have not responded to SJand L about spiders in trees, have done nothing. Am sitting here tonight trying to post a picture of a...011 Jeep Wrangler CRD, itís a 2 door auto, 68,400km Cosmo Blue in colour.
So far no luck. Shannon, the sales manager who sold me my MY14 Overland has just emailed me asking if I could ask any of you guys reading this if you are interested in a2011 Wrangler CRD in Cosmo Blue. He sent me a picture but I am having all sorts of trouble getting it up on this forum. I will say the car looks excellent though. Will hit the send button in a moment but I think a picture of my ambient lighting will come up rather than the Wrangler. I will keep trying but if anyone out there has any interest in a Wrangler CRD contact me. Here goes...if I can't get the pic up I will have to call on someone else's help here.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

yep, wrong pic. That is a pic of my ambient lighting. I will keep trying. Have not been on for weeks and also notice my signature picture of my beautiful JEEP48 has disappeared too. I have work to do to try and retrieve that signature pic and get back on this post. In the meantime, if anyone interested in that Wrangler?????...apparrently it is a two (2) door diesel Wrangler and two door models are quite rare.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Sorry guys, I have no idea what is happenning but I now have my Signature pic up again. I have no idea what buttons etc I am clicking on here. In the meantime, back to trying to post a pic of that Wrangler. I must admit though this is a funny scenario. Shannon, Sales Manager for selling Jeeps sort of respects this site I presume because here he is asking me, a humble nurseryman, to post a pic of his relatives Wrangler to see if there is an interested buyer out there. I like Shannon, and would like to help him. I am sure it is a good car if anyone is interested. Shannon helped me into a fabulous, absolutely faultless Overland that is just a dream (and the price was good too) so if I can return a favour then that's good. I only wish I could damn well get the picture of this blue Wrangler up that he has sent me. I'll just click on a few more places and hope for the best.

Otherwise, if the cruise is off, I don't think there should be any braking, and anyway, its a bit too "even" for a brake noise. Does anyone here with a NON-diesel, have the whistle? That might narrow things down a bit.
Thanks,
Russell

Just wondering if there were any more updates about the whistle. I have the same thing. When deceleration only in gear 8 / overdrive and as soon as I put into neural or accelerate it goes away instantly. Very annoying.

Sorry to bring up an old one. But i am having this whistle. Only happens at highway speed deceleration in 8th/overdrive. Will go away instantly if i accelerate, go to neutral or drop into 7 using the paddles. Would obviously be some kind of tranny issue? any recommendations? anything i can say to 'help' the dealers that can never properly diagnose.

thanks

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Last week, opened a case with CJD Australia with regards to getting the Nav VR functionality sorted. To their credit they have phoned back when they said they would (to get more info) and say they will come back to us again on Tuesday (tomorrow).

Obviously not something that will be sorted in a hurry - just kicking the ball off, but it is starting to irk. The software needs to be upgraded to allow the functionality as per the brochure.

On another note, had a detailer spend all day here a few days ago. He spent 3 hours on WK2 and a further 5 on WK. Such a difference compared to what I can do with cleaning stuff. The surroundings are now reflected in her paintword.

Well, my whistle seems to have gone away. Consensus at the time was a likely leak in a turbo connection. Mine was exactly as you describe it, although why it went away I have no idea. I had reported it with some other minor issues after a couple of weeks with the car. They never told me if they did anything to fix it and I forgot to ask. Nonetheless, I haven't noticed it since.
Other threads discussed similar noises which were apparently/probably related to poorly machined CV joints, but I THINK it ended up being related only to the SRT.

It does look good, I wish I could make mine shine like that. I buy good polish and only use rainwater and it does look OK, for a couple days.

I'll speak to the dealer about it. Cannot be a turbo for me. I have the 3.6 petrol. Seems tranny related to me.

Hi SJandL,

Would you believe I have just logged on to the forum after spending four and a bit hours washing polishing, vacuuming and window cleaning my darling wife's Polo GTI (also in red, not metallic though). I had no longer finished when my darling said "We should just pay someone to do that".
I think I'll pay someone if they can make it glow like yours does. Did the detailer clean and condition your leather? Are you happy with the result?

Our Jeep will have the beige leather as I like the look, but I must confess to being a bit nervous about keeping it looking good.

I am about to order a bunch of Adams stuff tonight to finally have some great cleaning & polishing products. I was looking at Zainos, but Adams make their process so simple to follow with some excellent YouTubes videos to help.
10% off until midnight tonight too with a special code - Easter10.
