Reason being is I regularly tow a 2tonne caravan up and down Kangaroo Valley NSW, if your not familiar with it, it is very steep.
I always push hard through there and whilst the temperature guage does go up it doesn't go into the red or overheat.
Travelled in 42 degree heat pulling the van with the A/C and had no problems.
Mine cooked on the Moonbi range, temp gauge hard up (boiling, steam) and oil temp 148 degrees C. Ambient temp about 30.

And from 13.43.7, so all the same.

Mine was 109C (in upper quartile range) city start/stop driving with outdoor temperature 29C, no towing, air con off. Imagine what my engine temperature would be if driving in your situation.

Confused. Some have whereas others don't. Will bring it up with the dealer.

I drove from Melb to Adelaide, in January, towing my boat and with car loaded. I admit the boat is only about 700kgs, but I sat on the speed limit, air cond on all the way and it was during that hot spell, 45 deg outside.
No problems.
The only place I had to go a little easy on the pedal was at the start of the south east freeway where it is quite hilly.

When you say "a little easy on the pedal" what exactly do you mean, what were the circumstances, was your engine getting hot, thanks.
