Here's link to the file. Good literature on wheel alignment.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

In Uconnect, there're Tire/Jack Mode, Transport Mode, Wheel Alignment Mode.

Shall they be ticked when and only when the relevant situation arises, e.g, change tyre, wheel alignment, or towing? In mine, they are all ticked. Would this have any bearing on air suspension, which in turn affect Toe?

I have just been fighting with John Hughes and Jeep Aus with this similar issue. Mine sounds like a 1950's tractor, mostly between 1000 & 2000 rpm, with moderate acceleration. Also noted that it takes longer to warm up and the fuel consumption increases significantly. The sound is related to fuel detonation in the cylinder.

Jeep Aus only authorise for the fuel mapping to be reset and not actually resolve the issue, now the third time. Mostly because the Jeep rep who was suppose the look at it (JH stated he would be there on Tuesday), decided to go to Adelaide instead, so Jeep said only a reset can be done. Pathetic!!!!

Now spend spare time on twitter (#dodgyjeep), Facebook and email trying to get a response from Jeep, but to no avail so far.

On mine, only one can be ticked, and if I select wheel alignment mode, it does not carry over an engine restart. I.e. You can't select it then drop it off at the alignment place - after they start it to drive it onto, the machine, they have to know how to set it again. And setting mine is actually different to the manual, so you would need a focused tech to figure it out himself.

Nope. I just hopped in the car, switch to ACC without starting engine, tick all three modes. Then I started engine, three modes actually automatically unticked themselves. Afterall, it's false alarm. Sorry.

But I do want to ask dealer whether wheel alignment mode was ticked before they performed the alignment. If not, it may have bearing on abnormal toe. When I start engine, then tick wheel alignment mode, suspension actually drops to aero mode.

Otherwise it's hard to imagine a component "relaxing" and causing the shift. Weird...

Man, these things are proper 4wds, if the alignment can be upset by hitting a gutter or a large pothole then I'd suggest one would have bigger problems taking it off-road...

Well, time to stop the waffle and do something.

I contacted Consumer Affairs Victoria and am now in the process of formulating and submitting a complaint regarding this piece of crap.

All evidence needs to be submitted involving the MY14 Laredo camera advertising and that will come from Jeeps own brochures and evidence of what has been in fact supplied in contradiction of that advertised product.

As well as brochure evidence we can also gather evidence of the Jeep Aust web site. Any other Victorian irate MY14 GC Laredo owners out there feel free to supply me with evidence.

This is great. Well done! Apart from information from Jeep brochures, you might consider providing Consumer Affairs with print outs from this site with comments from various owners (I think there is thread specifically devoted to this) and pictures of the day and night time views from the camera (apart from your own pictures, also submit some of the screen shots posted on these threads to demonstrate yours is not an isolated example). One of the key points you should emphasis is that the view is totally useless at night and in bright direct sunlight.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

So I got BaaBaaa back after getting the bullbar put on yesterday. Didn't get a chance to drive it until now as the wifer took it straight around this morning to get the electronic throttle control issue fixed. Starting it up to bring it home tonight I noticed it stated the the park sensors needed servicing. Reversing in at home I noticed the rear ones worked. My guess is they forgot to plug the front ones back in, it would be quicker for me to fix it if it was only the issue of one plug rather than wait for an hour at ARB....

Does anyone know what side of the car the plug is on?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Well I just got back from having a play in the sand dunes north of two rocks and got the low oil pressure alarm again, very frustrating having the car stall halfway up a hill. It seems the car has to be rocking from side to side while on a steep incline for it to happen. Afterwards I went up some smooth unrutted dunes I had no chance of getting up just to get the car on the steepest angle I could and I got no alarm.
My dealership is going to look at this Friday but I'm sure they won't find anything as I doubt they'll be able to replicate the fault.
I thought I was doing the right thing getting the diesel but now I wish I got the hemi, anyone want to swap?
