My guess is they forgot to plug the front ones back in, it would be quicker for me to fix it if it was only the issue of one plug rather than wait for an hour at ARB....

Does anyone know what side of the car the plug is on?

I should know this, I've pulled my whole front bumper off before. I think it's the drivers side..
Check to make sure that the clear rubber collars around the sensors aren't protruding too much either, I believe this can cause the same alarm.

Cool thanks, I will check it out tomorrow..

UPDATE: Great help Wadeaus, you were spot on. Removed the drivers side bash plate and just inches in front of my face was the unplugged parking sensors. BaaBaaa is now all happy. So my experience getting the bar fitted at ARB is mixed...

Cons:

They screwed up and forgot to order the mounting bracket for the ACC radar sensor. This caused about a 28 hr delay, and an extra $54.55 to the price.

Due to the above I was at ARB until 6:20pm waiting

There is one bolt missing on the left side bash plate.

The right side bash plates, one of the bolts had a standard nut instead of one of the clip in nuts. I have no idea how he got it on in the first place because after I removed it and put the bash plate back on I could not get to where the nut needed to be. Luckily I had one spare clip in bolt the right size.

They left the front parking sensors disconnected.

Pros:

Adaptive Cruise control seems to work like a charm.

So far by what I can tell they didn't scratch the car or the bullbar.

They stayed at work late to get the job finished. (May be a bad thing as they rushed and probably cause a few of the issues listed above).

ARB customer service is very friendly and for most part very helpful.

It is not an ECB bullbar where the ACC may work sometimes.

I had this issue a few months back, but it seems to have self resolved itself. I have had a 20000 km service since and mentioned it. They said that there was no info on this issue yet.

Battery Guard

I have read some discussion re installing portable fridges to our vehicles,
you may be interested in one of these low voltage battery guards.
On my GC I have switched the fuse over to continuous power to the rear power plug, this device when installed in line will protect your battery from going flat when you forget to turn the fridge off, on as probably will be the case a quick trip to the shops to buy some supplies and you are late in returning to your vehicle.

The one in the photo is rated at 10 - 15 amps with peak current at 75amps. (other models are available).
It is fully automatic but adjustable for up to 10 on/off voltage thresholds.
Available on EBay, cost me around $47.

Nice compact find. Could you list the selection of voltages? The download "fact sheet" is pretty light on detail, though does mention the 10mA quiescent current draw. Something to consider if leaving your car stored for a while, as AGM batteries do not like parasitic loads.

Cheers,
Steve

Consuming KFC can result in many forms of spurious response :what:

I didn't know hitting the sand dunes was one of them!

Gives a lot of choices as follows:

Position 1 is Undervoltage Threshold 10.5 v to Upper voltage threshold 12V
Position 2 is 10v to 11.5v
Position 3 is 9.5v to 11.5v
Position 4 is 11.25v to 13.25v
Position 5 is 10.5v to 12.8v
Position 6 is 10.5v to 12.8v
Position 7 is 11.5v to 12.8v
Position 8 is 11.8v to 12.8v
Position 9 is 12v to 13v
Position 10 is 10v to 13.2

The Position 1 is the default setting.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I'd prefer to avoid discharging to 10.5v, firstly because I'm not sure the CRD would start. Secondly, it's a bit hard on the battery, however it depends on how often it's likely to happen. You also need to consider the consequences of shutting the fridge down I'm these situations. Warm beer is unpleasant but rancid meat makes for a bad camping trip

You also need to consider the voltage drop between the battery and that socket... the sensor is going to be reading a lower voltage than that of the battery when the fridge is running, however the difference will be nil when the fridge stops. This can lead to a constant cycling of the monitor if the window between the upper and lower voltages is inadequate.

Consider a higher "lower" setting with the largest margin between the "upper" threshold... then test / monitor / adjust.

Cheers,
Steve

A few photos of BaaBaaa's bull bar.. Much happier with the look than I thought I would be..

Now all I am waiting for is LightForce to pony up the Venom spot lights I won almost 2 months ago. NOT impressed.

Looks better in black on black than anything IMO.
