I heard a rumour that the dealer actually lifts the bonnet, then closes it.
Mind you, it is only a rumour, so most likely they do nothing, but try to sell you something you don't need.
Another rumour stated that they used your car for test drives during this free service.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Just got BaaBaaa back from the 20K service and fix of the oil leak. Back a day early so I am happy.

Leak under vehicle - Engine Area lower half of Sump leaking. Resealed and check - OK.

20,000 Kim service

Labour: $168
Filter: CH68229402AA $80.00
Washer Solution: $6.37
Indervon Synplus C3 5W30 $152.00

Luckily this time I remembered to tell them it is novated leased so it didn't cost me as cent.

Oh, and I had to reset the oil display myself.. again...

My EVIC screen was set to this when the car went on. I figured if it was in their face every time they turned the car on it wasn't possible to miss. They did it.

On the road to Wilpena pound today, saw a convoy of 12 new 2014 Cherokees and one wrangler. Arrived at Wilpena pound resort and there were another 15 Cherokees of various colours and models parked in the resorts parking bay. All Victorian registered.

Technically there is neither a 1000km check or 3000km.

They'll probably use your car to pickup lunch and that'll be the extent of the check.

Hi Auscop,
I sure hope your oil leak is fixed. That was the solution for ours when it went in the first time. 2 weeks later it went in again, and they said it was the upper sump seal.... then the upper seal again, then lower seal. Then they replaced the whole sump..... im just waiting for it to start leaking again. I do have to get the misses to take it in again, as now there is a driveline vibration when you floor it.... conveniently only since they replaced the sump.
Might be time to change service centres.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Maybe they broke a bolt off the sump, and then removed an engine mount bolt as a replacement?

Well the 3,000klm check today was actually worth while.

Fixed my phone pairing issue
Found out how to get psi to show on the screen
Oil was topped up (was down to low on dipstick when cold but not sure if it was like this when I picked it up new or not)
Also noticed alignment of rear drivers door was out a little but will have to go into panel shop to realign.
Pretty happy so far with Suttons Waitara so hopefully will be a good dealership to continue to get the services dine with.
