Did you use a clay bar (ideally you do this to the entire car before applying wax), they are good to run over windows as well, and will pull of a lot of crap.

If that gets it of, then make sure you apply a glass sealant like Rain-X afterwards every month to keep them clean.

I 2nd Snukes reply. I had tree sap all over my screen as a fine haze. Windex and even pure alcohol would not budge it. Used the clay bar and it is clear as it came out of the factory. Just make sure you use the quick detailer solution or very soapy water to ensure it does not scratch it.

The best stuff for windows is cerium oxide. It won't scratch the glass

Thanks SJ&L,

I was getting a bit paranoiac over Jeep Australia.

I have deleted my rambling post because I brought up Jeep Aust again and I can run the ordinary videos too.

They must have an Privacy issue with the Dog Ads.

So its their paranoiac problems and not mine then!!

I can acces the Jeep Australia FB page but theyve banned me from making comments on it.

The Consumer Affairs complaint is just about ready to go in against them.

I have passed on the Petition to several prominent Australian motoring writers on the Camera Petition.
One responded to me and said that Jeep Aust told him they were aware of the Petition and they have been in touch with me which is a blatant lie.
"We are currently investigating the claims outlined in the petition.
It is our policy to not conduct negotiations or discussions with our customers in a public forum.
If customers have any concerns regarding their vehicle, we encourage them to contact their local dealer."

No contact from Jeep Aust at all which is par for the course from them!!

Those intending to launch action, re Laredo camera, against Chrysler, should really get in touch with this guy who has taken legal action against Chrysler.

What I find puzzling in all this is why Jeep Aus doesn't just fix the problem and avoid all this upcoming negative publicity? We all know from some others here that the issue is the quality of the camera itself rather than the rest of the hardware, and a relatively cheap fix of $20 plus fitting for a better camera. The public can forgive a car maker for getting things wrong providing they are genuine at putting it right. It is over one year now that Jeep has not fixed the camera issue and over three years that they haven't fixed the rear shocker mounts - most manufacturers could design a new car from scratch in that amount of time.

Maybe the same dilema awaits certain Jeep Cherokee owners in the future????

Please read the fine print at the bottom right of the attached extract from the official Jeep Cherokee Buyers Guide.

For those with eyes as bad as mine:

"Parkview rear back-up camera*"

*Dealer fitted item (Late availability on Sport and Longitude only)

Sound familiar Laredo owners?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

My thoughts exactly Gr8ness which I posted about in the KL thread a while ago and also one of the reasons why the Limited was the clear choice for us, to avoid what we saw as a potential Laredo camera issue with the KL.

Is it sheer arrogance or pure marketing genius? No body wants the camera issues so upgrade to a higher spec model.... it couldn't be, could it?
