Well that would suck obviously but there are worse things in this world when you think about it.

I haven't had a problem since the DPF was totally replaced a couple months ago, but I haven't noticed the system doing a regeneration either. I'm almost tempted to take the Jeep on the outback trip which I purchased the vehichle for but was too worried about the risk of being stranded in limp mode.
16,000kms and haven't experienced the dreaded limp mode, haven't even seen the regen notice.

Touch wood..........nervous now in case I have jinxed myself.

Ditto to Salmo's experience except 28,000kms now.

Maybe the dealer did get it right last time when it ended back in Perth for the regen, it seems to come up around every 4500km. We will wait and see when the next one comes around.
That's interesting that it regened at lower speeds, did you car get the flash update for the DPF problems? I wonder if they have changed this restriction?

Worse things in life?
I doubt it.
I would think that if the wife was frigid, and I was driving the Jeep in a hot sweat, because the aircon would not synch, life would be unbearable.

I did post earlier that I had a regen notice at around 12,000 and it stated that the filter was 80 percent full and regen was in progress, not only did I drive around at 60 to 70km speed limits but I also stopped to visit a mate at part way through and after restarting the car the regen continued through to finished. Whole process took about 15 -20 mins.
Apart from the notice you wouldn't know that a regen was even happening.

Mine is a May build, the vehicle is fantastic, I have only experienced minor problems that were fixed with software updates, almost 20,000 km now and no problems to report, it's a great vehicle. But having said that I agree with Snuke, if you can get a good deal on a later build, then go for it.
PS: Also $1000 buys a lot of fuel, something to think about hey.

Too right! In the end I managed to get a 2014 build for a bit less than the advertised 2013 build price tonight, thanks to my lovely wife's negotiating skills (I'm no good at the final step of buying a car, tend to cave in)

For anyone shopping these in perth, we found Melville keen to make a deal.

No - I have registered for the promo and if by some miracle manage to be in the first ten, then the Longitude will be the stop-gap until our already ordered KL Limited is built and delivered (which won't be till towards the end of the year).
