Great to see you back Webber. I hope you enjoyed your trip OS.

Webber, I know that your girl is wearing a car bra. How's it "holding up" so to speak? Can you see any signs of yellowing or other annoying traits?

Talking Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I have been an avid (my wife says paranoid) watcher of this thread since early last year. I have really appreciated all of the helpful and at times very humourous interactions on the site, I couldn't believe you guys looking at the ports via the cameras to see the cars being moved around.
I have just ordered an Overland Diesel and will pick it up on Monday
Thank you to all for your helpfulness and enthusiasm, it has helped convince me that this is the right car for me

Nothing wrong with the number 86 Snuke. Magic number for me.

86 Transport Platoon was my unit in Vietnam.

Also met wife number 3 (she calls herself Victim No 3) when she lived at address number 86 .........in Melbourne.

I should have met her first then she would have been Victim No 1 only!! :-)

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Snuke, the car developed a knock in the front end when the suspension topped out. I couldn't pin it down to front or rear, but the dealer identified 3 dud shocks and one shock mount.
And mine has Quadralift and ORA2.
Waiting to see what happens next re wait times.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Cool, so not the usual LLS knock that is top mount related and not shocks. I half expected you had that issue, and there was still a dealer saying that replacing shocks was a fix.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Not sure what LLS means Snuke. Can you elaborate? I thought the QL suspension was relatively trouble free...

LLS is Ladies Love Snuke.
I meant SLS, Self Levelling Suspension, the standard steel spring ones.

Funky Cold Medina.

Great to hear you took the leap and got yourself an Overland CRD. I unfortunately need to wait for the MY15 as I was told there isn't an Overland with my specs available. I must say that this forum was an eye opener for myself as well (I can't beleive the hours we spent looking at the live cams - it was funny though..). I don't think there's another forum that has the same level of passion, knowledge & devotees as well as having someone on the inside like Milous and others. I just bought my wife a cheapie newy and I looked up the Toyota and Holden forums thinking they would have the same exuberance or passion as jeepgarage. Absolutely pathetic in comparison (I meant the others not this forum..).

Tezzan, enjoy your girl when you pick it up and, though no car is perfect, at least you'll have friends here to help you sort things out. No tears from you Snuke please - Men don't cry (unless you're a Queenslander - ).

Maxy, try Mozilla Firefox. I generall use IE but there are sites it wont let me in and its become more unstable lately.

I particularly use Mozilla Firefox for the AFL and NRL score because IE freezes on those two.

See how you go.
