CRD Jeep Oil Filters

On my favourite subject again, Jeep Oil Filters. Well as you can see by the photos a well known parts supplier RYCO have released an oil filter R2737P for our vehicles, I contacted RYCO re quality and they responded that the filter is designed to match or exceed the quality of the Mopar one.
The other good news is the cost which is $24.00 (at Supercheap) not $65 as per Mopar, so maybe now Mopar will look at their mark up here in Aust and lower their price.
Also as you can see on the packet the RYCO Filter is Warranty Guaranteed so that New vehicle Warranty's are protected.
The RYCO Filter looks and measurers up exactly to the Mopar one and it seems to have the same filtering area.
Next target is Air Filters... I am on a mission.

Great find Gforce, although I suspect won't change the price dealers charge for the Mopar stuff. I reckon they will bank on most owners not doing their homework and just dropping the car off. Keep up the good work!!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi All,

Imagine what it would be like to drive a JGC SRT with 527kw and 881nm ??? I'd love to have that with my Overland.

I know, I know - gear box wouldn't handle it etc, etc...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

There is talk elsewhere on this site that suggests this is currently being tested with production being setup.

Do horses drink fuel?

I bet it drinks fuel like an elephant drinks water.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I bet I want one!!! (a hellcat SRT, not a horse or elephant).

And don't worry Captain, us SRT guys are drooling at the possibility of this engine making it into the next gen SRT (approx. 2016/2017).

I reckon - bring it on. I wonder if we'd ever see the day that the SRT would race at Bathurst? Now wouldn't that be mad! All us aussie JeepGarage guys could then have an annual pilgrimage! Whether it drinks like a horse or an elephant it won't matter. We'll cheer it on!
