Maybe the oil leak will stop in the cold. Car was at the dealer today and they could not find the source of the leak.

Can't find the source is a deep concern. Just like my wheel alignment, the dealer can't figure out what caused the big shift in toes.

I use snow mode all of the time. I find it stops wheel spin when reversing the horse float on grass.

There was oil everywhere, they cleaned it and took it for a run, no signs of any leaks. Am going to take back in a couple of days, so the source might be more visible. I wish I had my own hoist.

I thought the wheel alignment guy at the factory went off sick for a couple days, hence the TSB for this issue.

Bigskiddy, replacing the sump on ours seems to have fixed our oil leak, or slowed it down dramatically. They had 6 goes at it, so there must be a few apprentices out there that at very least are good at pulling the bottom end apart. Changing the gaskets only fixed the issue for 2-3weeks, but its now been 4 and no oil on the garage floor, so fingers crossed!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

MY14 Laredo Rear View Camera;

Had my 10,000km service done Friday last at Frankston Jeep. No probs with the service, quite happy with the cost of it.

They installed the updates for uconnect and TSB's.

On the list of wants was the rear view camera to be inspected for efficiency.

On the Monday last week, I presentyed a formal complaint on the quality of the so called ParkView tm camera.

Picked it up friday and advised the service Manager that I would test the camera in all conditions.

He said that the mechanics had really cleaned the camera lens and that it was dirty. As if I hadnt done that already.

I did see a marked improvement in the daylight hours, although Melbournes weather presented a perfect light for it. Dull, overcast and no bright lights.

Tonight I had a look at 5.45pm and took a photo. Again it showed a marked improvement to that taken and experienced before.

I find it hard to believe that a "cleaned camera lens" would dramatically improve the vision and clarity. Again I did clean the lens on numerous occasions to try and improve the crap vision.

And there are enough examples of crap vision from these camera's from other memebers to negate that argument.

So, here comes the conspiracy theory, people!!!

Fiat Chrysler Jeep Aust know that I have started the Petition against the Crappy Chrysler Camera. (The CCC)

They knew through the dealership that I was coming in on Friday last so they had 4 days to come up with something.

Here it comes....................

I believe that they have installed in my vehicle a better quality camera!!!!!!!!!!

To shut me up so that I cannot proceed with the argument.

I will wait untill the melbourne sun comes out (may be next January for that though) to see how it performs in bright sunlight.

Two comparative photos below. See what you believe.

Conspiracy or not???

The field of view appears different... I'd suggest that you are correct with your suspicion.

I'd have marked the camera.

I suggest you take the images in the same locations, in order to make a comparison.

Position does look different. Check your number plate lights still work.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Seems better, but compared to my MY12 it is still crap.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Pull the camera out, and compare it with others. This will clear any doubts.
