Was the sound crap? Calder Park hasn't been used for a concert since it was such a disaster of an event. Not a good idea having a concert in the centre of a bowl so the sound can bounce back at you; or in a location with next to no public transport.
Skid Row, who I had never heard off, stole the show that night, put GnR to shame.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

CHRYSLER SHOCKERS (What have they got to Chuckle about though)

Fiat/Chrysler/Jeep spindoctors at work again. Wonder what "Fix" they will come up with the Laredo rear view camera's??

It took then long enough to find out about the shockers AND .. now theyre blaming the towers for the cause!!!!!

Hang about!! I thought this machine was good for towing 3.5 tonne??

Dont they tow 3.5tonne in USA?? How is it that its only a Downunder problem??

I see from another post on the Shocker problem that their dealer said "sure we know about the "Fix" but come back (eventually) when we get the "Fix Kit".

No people, I'm not a cynic, just an unbeliever!!

The reason some are pissed is apparently the phone number was put on whirlpool the day before or something. So some people have had an unfair advantage to ringing

Anyway, the people who claim to sue and taking jeep to court. Ha what a load of BS. As soon as the next media storm comes along that tweaks their self righteous indignation theyll have forgotten about jeep australia and their dodgy deals

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Had different but pleasureable experience today.
I mostly leave my headlight switch in the Auto position and if the day is abit overcast the lights come on and the Nav screen goes dark, night mode. But today the headlights came on and the Nav screen stayed in daylight mode. Hopefully it will stay that way.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Well today I've clocked 12 months and 27015 km with my Overland CRD. Started in Brisbane and now based in Perth, I've travelled 15000 km with the camper trailer (Complete Campsite, Kakadu with Boat Rack) behind and have been happy to put it through its paces on beaches and National Park tracks. We've been on Bribie Island, crossed the Nullarbor, hand fun in the dunes at Lancelin, travelled to Exmouth, Coral Bay and Monkey Mia, with a days trip out to Steep Point and Cape Peron. So far I have not needed the shovel or my Maxtrax and have driven out of trouble by simply selecting the right mode and height and tyre pressure. Self leveling with the Camper has been fantastic and we average 11-12 litres on the highway at 100 km/h. Setting up with the D035 hitch has made it simple with adjusting height to attach and detach the camper and keep planning weekend away getting more confident with each trip. I've fitted the Chief Bash Plate and have yet needed to remove the front lower bumper on all tracks travelled. I'm not a rock climber or a pig in mud type of guy, but love the beach and have not had any issues. I can't wait for the end of the year when we go bush again. I've not seen any DPF issues and love ACC. So I suppose I am a very happy camper and for those that are yet to get off the blacktop, give it a go and you'll love it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Good to read your post Butts. We've just gone over the 12 month ownership mark as well and are sitting just shy of 29,000kms.

Like you, we have had zero issues, the vehicle is running well and is a joy to drive. I still love getting into this thing each day after all this time. I would have expected to get over it at some point but that has not happened.

Happy many more travels to you.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Good to hear some feel good stories Butts and SJandL about the GC. I guess one of the problems with forums is that ultimately you tend to hear the bad things because inevitably the squeaky wheel is always loudest and wants to be heard. Those with zero issues tend to get on with business and not spruike too much, which is a shame really. When you consider the number of GC's on the road, if there was a major problem with them, well it would be right out there. However on the whole, it appears they are a solid car. However the consensus certainly seems that Jeep customer care and after sales support sucks.

Am looking forward to updating my ride and playing with my latest toy.

Just back from Perisher. All day parking at -2 degree. Before starting the engine, checked coolant was still in liquid form. So confirmed it's anti-freeze. Engine started as normal but with a little bit hesitation.
