A good save today by the Forward Collision system. Best described as 'well that worked' (thank goodness).

There should be a setting in the Nav menu to set the display dimmer during day/night.

Thanks, I will have a look for that. But yesterday it went back to the night screen again while passing through a longish bit of tree shadows.

I find the sensor for the lights comes on easily. The knob setting for auto dim makes the screen hard to see with sunglasses on in daylight, so i just turn it manually. Would be nice if it was less sensitive and came on at the appropriate time. But doesnt bother me that much

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

MY14 Rear Park Camera;

From my "conversations" with the Jeep Customer Service Line and the dealer, they advise me that very few complaints have been received about the MY14 Laredo camera quality.

Obviously their heads are up looking for gold nuggets somewhere in the dark.

Just shows the Left Hand doesnt know what the Right Hand is doing or saying in Jeep Australia organisation.

I have information from a jeep mechanic in NSW that shows Jeep Australia are fitting a NEW camera system to their MY14 Laredo's.

http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/sho ... stcount=44

This may/WILL lead to a retrofit of all supplied camera kits for the MY14 Laredo.

Note the improved vision and the fascia camera profile of the new kits. Still has the fisheye but I can live with that so long as its a clear view.

Hi Salmo
If you rotate dimmer up towards bright setting and then one click up before interior lights (second click) the nav screen and instrument cluster will stay bright. You just have to rotate back one click at night or it will be too ooooo bright
Cheers

Maxy, maybe if you slow down in reverse in your hot SRT8 it may be a bit clearer.
