Kluger is petrol only, built on same base as the Camry.

You can clearly hear the diesel rattle, it's not crazy loud, but it's a diesel, it should sound like a diesel. Compared to old diesels and probably more the case, the cars they were in, they are both quieter and there is better NVH in place.

Thanks. I guess the loudness we experience is subjective feeling. My Camry 2.4L is actually very quiet as sometimes we turned the key to start the engine when the engine was already running.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Dynamic lines are BS. I actually hate them, and are nothing but an inaccurate distraction.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I find the middle one reasonably useful. The outer lines can be a bit deceptive, but I'm not quite up for hating them.

Maybe someone missed Business Time last week

Cheers,
Steve

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I like the dynamic lines.

Backing down the slope from the house and around onto the flat slab in front of the office, they're useful in the respect of avoiding all the building/random stuff the husband stacks on the slab and only leaves a small space for any vehicle backing down.

Like Steve though, it's the middle one that I tend to look at.

No hate from me.

Bluey, what's the status at the moment as far as getting the new camera installed? Is your GC going to be receiving one of the new ones?

Sent another comprehensive email to both the Frankston dealer and to senior management at Fiat Chrysler Jeep Australia on July 16, no response from anyone as yet.

We do know that they are supplying a new camera applique and wiring/camera kit for all new MY14 Laredo deliveries. I wouldnt think that they would automatically retrofit already delivered unit with the new ones.

As they say its a squeaky wheel that gets the oil and boy, am I squeaking!!

I have my Petition and Vic Consumer Affairs submission held in reserve.

Bluey

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

You would think Bluey that JA would do the right thing and install the new one on your vehicle. Here's hoping that that happens for you.

MMCRH - That's the funniest review I've read in a long time. You have to post that on the SRT thread incase they miss it on the general thread. And did I hear it wrong, or did he say that it's Austrian built? I might have heard that wrong ... must go back and watch it again.
