Ask them for the VIN number, if it is anywhere near being built, or if it has been built, they would have the VIN.

Include ventilated seats and you have the full luxury option.

That would be enough for me to pull a pin on ordering with them. They are either blatantly lying to your face or that ignorant and or dumb about a product they are selling!

Straight to the DP you go .. And insist a free tow bar to make up for the lie/dumb sales person

Thanks again Milous. This is good news. Overland diesels on the way. It does beg the question though as to why Chrysler Australia are not giving out E numbers. These orders have been accepted and built. All one can assume is that these CRD Overlands must be for normal dealer floor stock and they are NOT customer orders or there would be NO EXCUSE for not supplying E numbers. Can anyone work this out?

I think it is a case of Jeep Aust still in denial that the MY14 exists.
They want to dump all their MY13 stock at top price.

Sorry - nappa leather with ventilated front seats plus heated steering wheel is the full luxury option I was given.

This dealer seems genuine and has not dodged any queries put to him. Jeep AU have simply not provided standard specs and pricing.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

From what I have heard there is not much stock left to dump. Jeep AU are out of GC sock and there is only the dealer stock left. I know from my local dealer they do not have much and are desperate for new vehicles prior to June 30.

I think Jeep AU have not handled this well and they are trying to hide the mistakes. I would think a few dealers will be very unhappy as floor finance rates are dependent on meeting sales targets. Hard to do when you dont have stock.

Once the boat arrives ( literally ) there will be a scramble to get stock on road. Deals may be available for quick sales although I suspect initial demand will be high. Milous has the boat as due 20 May. Guestimating a month to clear customs, transport to dealers, get cleaned and registered and into customes hands around mid to late June. If we can be a tad patient ( and I personally will find that hard to do ) and wait for the initial surge to die down then we can negotiate close to FY year end. In theory at least. Have your finance set to go if needed.
