Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The latest from my dealer, at least they are pushing the state manager for Jeep, even if it is not consistent to what others have stated in this thread.

Hello Kevin

I have forwarded on all your emails to Jeep Australia.

This is the last email they sent me this morning in reply to your email; They have also called me and assured me there is a vehicle that will be built to your order

Hi Mazen

I have done my best to explain how the system works.

The vehicle below is at KZ status which means it is ex Factory.

KZ comes after D1 alphabetically.

Quite simply, we canít give a Comm number to a dealership until the vehicle is at D1 status (gateline-production confirmed) or any alphabetical letter afterwards!

This is consistent with any other vehicle we factory order for a dealership

The vehicle progress through the plant starts at BA all the way to D1,E,F,G,I,J,JB,JE,JJ,JS,KZ,KZL etc. All those letters have a meaning...

Regards,

Fiat Chrysler Group

Again... RUBBISH

For example

Rizzuto (SRT - Black - Australia)
Date ordered: N/A
Current Status: Not yet scheduled

As you can see, this car is not yet at D1, yet he has a E Number.
I am beginning to think these guys are starting to believe their own BS.

Hi All. This has certainly been an informative thread. We're about to reach the 100th page - and am I right in saying that it only started in a few months ago? Great info and great feedback from the "Seniors" of this forum. Keep it up guys!

Hi Webber, does the overland have the park sense as shown in the you tube video ? where the lines turn with the wheel ?
Cheers

Hey, it looks like the "fine service" is hereditory!

Why doesn't Fiat Corporate Head Office step in and kick some "cullo" at Jeep! The excellent work while under the stewardship of Mercedes Benz is being wasted by, what is seems to be, incompitent leadership. I say leadership as the troops on the ground, the sales reps, are poorly led and are thus left to their own devices.

Fiat, are you reading and hearing our cries for change??

What I can deal with (albeit nervous, excited and impatient like a kid a Xmas) is the long wait ... What I can't deal with is the lack of information and communication... And honesty

What's the game? How hard is it to release specs and packages to us? I know they know perfectly bloody well what they are offering in terms of levels, specs, trims for the my14.

Feel like we're being played like puppets

In saying that I'm still happy to have a hand up my bum, it's a hot car lol

MILOUS,
Can you please read the post at #1179 by KevinP and advise us whether this is total crap.
The thread has information about all the stages our cars go through in the Detroit factory.

Beggsy, my understanding is yes but please don't rely on me for expertise with cars. I am merely another keen Jeep convert.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I don't use Facebook, but decided to check out Jeeps FB page and customer posts.
It is enough to turn you off buying a Jeep. But I suspect like most things, the majority that are happy with things say nothing, but those that have a bad experience are very vocal.
What is horrendous is Jeep Aus's responses, or lack there of.

I thought I should also look at Mitsubishi's to be fair, as we are on our second Pajero and only had one small issue with the current one, that got fixed relatively quickly.
Similar story, mainly a lot of bitching with a few positive posts.
The big difference, MMA respond to every post that needs a response, and they don't just say "call customer service"
Jeep Aus do not do themselves any favours.

Nice nasty comment about Jeep Castle Hill from April 6th

"Had a really bad experience buying our first Jeep with Heartland Castle Hill. Did the deal and on the day due for delivery they tell us they dont have the car and deal is off. Happy to hold our deposit and we have to wait for refund. So pleased Five Dock Jeep have been extremely professional about their sales. Very disappointed customer."
