Yeah, we copped that a while ago when stupidly we didn't recognise the 'high-flow' sticker attached to the pump. Diesel everywhere.... except where it should have been.

I'd be interested in a solution as well if one exists.

No real solution. The high flow bowsers are not intended for car fillers. They are designed specifically for the open neck tanks on trucks. You just have to be vigilant and pick the correct bowser.

The Caltex servo near us sells Diesel and Truck Diesel. Truck Diesel is $0.02 per litre less. Not sure why though, other than quality?????

The only way to silence the audio system on start up is to turn the volume down (not mute). I read that you can insert a blank USB / SD card and select that as the source, but haven't tested it in practice.

Cheers,
Steve
I believe that in the example able the car diesel has additional cleaning agents that are not needed in trucks

I got caught once at a Shell garage. The sign at the end of the pumps just said diesel and it was only when I got to the pump that it said hi-flow. The hi-flow pumps are usually separated from the normal size pumps.

The hi-flow nozzle used to fit the Prado OK so it is not necessarily just for trucks.

There's an Alpine brand servo near me at work and it's always cheaper than the caltex and BP opposite. It services trucks and therefore runs the cheaper diesel.

If you have a USB inserted (blank is fine) it will go straight to that on start up instead of Radio.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Note that there is High Flow and HIGH FLOW. I've had no problem previously filling up with "High Flow" labelled pumps having the smaller nozzle... you simply go easy on the trigger and fill at a normal rate. If you pull the handle all the way in you could probably expect blow back.

The issue I'm referring to is situations where only the large nozzle is available... either through pump failure, fuel shortage, difficulty accessing the regular pumps due to trailer in tow, blah blah blah. No amount of coercion would see any quantity of fuel delivered into the tank.

Cheers,
Steve

That's for filling out of a jerry can. Unless you dribble it out of the high flow nozzle it will probably overflow. You'll need a soft touch on the trigger.

The 2014 CRD Overland has just received an excellent long term review at CarAdvice Australia.

Where did he get this feature from as mine certainly doesn't have it?
