Thanks, good thought. Added to the tick and flick sheet.
If it's not at 100% I'll do a reset before departure.....

Hi MMAG4X4, you may want to check:

Under Vehicle
CV Boot Clamps.

There's a thread on here (US WK2) about "Grease on Wheels, is this normal?" Have a look, it explains more with Photos, but the Clamps were not fitted, or fell off (loose?) on the CV Joint "boots". Sorry but I don't know how to "link" it here.

EDIT: Let's see if this works. Link to thread: http://www.jeepgarage.org/f73/grease...mal-73976.html

I shopped elsewhere (springwood) and was promised they had one arriving April 30th - so I bought it - and cancelled the other one.

I made contact to ensure everything is on track given the delivery date is just around the corner.

Turns out the car doesn't even dock in Brisbane until 13th May!!

With a couple of weeks to unload on wharf and predelivery etc - it will be June also.

I'm not sure at what stage I was going to be notified....

Or even how April 30 date was born, given the Mt Gravatt Dealer knew in March they were arriving for delivery in June.

So far less than impressed with service and they don't even have my cash... How bad will it be when they do?

I'm buying through MtGravatt, I tracked it's build through this site, it was initially scheduled to arrive in mid march, but it looks like with the number of orders coming in the build got delayed, and it didn't make the boat it was supposed to be scheduled on. So it got shunted back to the April boat. Mine arrived at the dock last week, waiting on it getting processed and delivered.

I don't think you can blame them because they have a popular product, sure dealers can be pretty bad at passing on the info, although a lot of the time that is Jeep Australia's fault. That's why it's worth signing up here to do the tracking.

I'd be interested in your updated list, I think someone else did one of these with pics of common problems to look for. Not sure which thread that was....

Anyway, mine is due in the next couple weeks.

Delivery QA Checklist

Hi Mark, like most here I rate the actual vehicle (JGC) very highly, but I don't rate, or trust, the Quality Control of the Jeep very well at all, so your Checklist upon Delivery is a very sensible idea.

That Boot Clamp issue, for instance, appears to be a simple Assembly or Dealer Delivery (check) oversight. I also have on my list to check the Power Steering Fluid level. Some new owners have reported low Power Steering fluid levels upon delivery. Again, such a simple fix, but the Jeep QC sucks.

A comprehensive check on delivery may/will alleviate a great deal of heartache later on. That CV Joint Boot Clamp thing still blows me away That was just plain stupid.

Agree the JGC is an awesome vehicle from what I have seen and driven so far, in my very very short 4X4 history.
I just needed a methodical checklist to allow me to assess the product as delivered and not get caught up in the moment of a my NEW JEEP!!!! has arrived.
In my work roll as an Operational Test and Evaluation Test Director, I always need to be able to call it as I see it and be objective when we identify deficiencies or defects. If I can do that with the Jeep (MY NEW JEEP ) on the day then, I'll come home with a little more confidence in the product I (ok the wife) paid for.
Have the Power Steering covered under engine fluids.

I'll send you the word doc, it looks better than the TXT file I could only upload.
Did you have any problem getting the Commission number from your Dealer?
I'm going to push again for mine in a couple of weeks and see if I can get it. That will have given them 8 weeks in total to have one issued from the US.

Got it thanks....

I didn't have any problem with the e number, it took 5 weeks from the date of order. But it seems shortly after that dealers stopped giving them out, or would only do so quietly.... seems Jeep Oz doesn't like the number being given out.
