What you read here is typical of the CJD "experience" in Australia after the sale. Is this typical behaviour in the US?

Jeep are spending a phenomenal amount down here in marketing, I've never seen such a campaign by Jeep. Jeep is penetrating the market down here but what's the point in marketing the Jeep brand when the back end service is a MAJOR disappointment. It won't take long before the market wises up and if service keeps spiraling south, the 2014-16 models may suffer with poor sales. People will read our experiences and will think twice.

There are many like me who are Jeep "first timers" and despite owning a great car, the pathetic back end service from CJD Aust experienced first hand by me and others on this forum is already weighing on my mind for my next purchase. Are we first timers better off with an Aussie, Japanese or European manufacturer? CJD US really needs to understand the "experience" being dished out to us down here. Is CJD US aware of these problems down here?

Well they have offered to pickup the car and return it once fixed and leave a loan car. I think they are starting to realise how pissed off I am now and how patient I have been throughout the whole thing. Now with school holidays, I need to try to get the car off the wife and swap car seats, so the wife can use my car.
They have no idea what a pain in the arse this whole thing is to their customers, who have paid money for their cars and being screwed when it comes to service.

Well the car is currently in a Jeep for the ACC module for replacement.
I hope they fix my ACC today so I do not have to go further sorting this problem out.

YAY !!!
It is fixed and I have my ACC and FCW again.
I do not know why it had to be so hard, but I also got an apology from being stuffed around. I am happy I have it working, but I really have no faith in my dealer anymore to do the right thing. They really should have taken ownership of this problem and seen it through and kept me up to date. By treating me like a mushroom has only made me think they are incompetent fools who cannot provide a level of service I expect.

I think the dealers haven't been supplied with all the required information. I would be interested to understand what training the dealer receives when a new model is introduced. I could take a stab at the answer.

But a lot of the frustration can be mitigated by honest and clear communication.

The problem I think my dealer is having is their staff turnover. The cannot all be trained, and if the qualified people leave, there is a huge knowledge vacuum that cannot always be filled.
This is why the TSB's are so dumbed down, they need to account for the monkey with no training doing the work.
Being an exmechanic and now in IT, I can appreciate the complexities of these cars. But gone are the days of diagnosis like we used to do. They now plug in a scanner and it tells them the problem. If the scanner does not see the problem, then the mechanic will usually say NFF (no fault found). If there is a problem they will just keep replacing parts until the problem is gone. Rarely do they "repair" anything, it is just replaced.
P.S The ACC is still working a treat, fingers crossed we have no problems ATM with the car.
