Mines the same as the OP's, 1 weeks off 12 months old...

Scott you don't really need them with the Led lights down below. Looks good btw.

No, I'm waiting for someone to come up with a good LED solution. There are quite a few LED DRL lamps about but most have proven to be either unreliable or cause CAN issues.

No, I haven't removed the relay. The DRLs are supposed to be a safety feature. To me, it doesn't make sense to disable a paid for safety feature for the sake of a bit of fogging on the reflector which aught to be a warranty replacement anyway. Also, it could be a can of worms legally and insurance wise.

I'd be very keen to hear from the guys about to make warranty claims. Hopefully Chrysler have come up with a fix.

Both headlamp assemblies are being replaced under warranty, no quibble.

Nope. First they have seen of the issue that I believe will shortly become a mass recall or as a minimum subject of a TSB. I intend to go down the LED route as soon as they are replaced. It did cross my mind though, I have recently made 4 nine hour drives without stopping, so perhaps theres a slim chance the overheating (which is definatly evident on the dis-coloured bulb holders) is caused by continuous use rather than short journeys that the masses on this forum generally travel. Anybody with or without the issue care to confirm this?

Glenn,

Did you talk to the dealer to CJD Aust? I haven't had the chance to contact my dealer yet.

Mine has been a mixture of mostly short trips and a few long drives of 8+ hours.

Hi There,
I spoke to the dealer this morning as the car was in for a compressor change. Showed the tech the problem and he was astounded. Both replacement headlamps are now on order and will get replaced without question. I am pretty grateful the dealer has taken this "no quibble" approach especially after enduring other issues for months. Whilst there is no fix to my knowledge, I think general consensus on this forum is switch to LEDs ASAP.

The longest single drive mine has done is about 3 hours so far. It mostly does 15 - 45min drives at the moment and it has the issue.
