Good day to all.
Quotes I have receieved for a 20K service.
Jeep at Narellan is where I have had my previous service for $395.
Jeep Five dock quoted as below
The 20k service for you vehicle is $540.00 I misquoted the phone quote that was for a 10k service sorry
Call me anytime and I can book the vehicle in for you.
Regards

I have deleted the quote from Penrith Jeep however it was around the $540+ mark.
I will be at Jeep Narellan for My service this Friday.

Re: Anyone else with burnt/damaged DRLs?

I paid $295 for my 20k km service, but I did the oil and filter. This price included a loan car, but I still feel it was expensive for 30mins work. The price was $480 if they did the oil.
This was SVM Artarmon and I must say I was pleased with the service. They were keep to point out that there is a new service manager and the difference was a noticeable improvement.

HI John,
I'm an expert on refitting the intake pipe, and can now do it blindfolded in five seconds ( I need to get life but their is a knack!!) !If you get any issues down the Coast regarding replacement lights speak to the Service Manager at Albion. As mentioned I got new globe holders as part of the headlamp replacement. Really happy with the service.

Thanks Glenn, I got the pipe out all right but needed to lift up the filter box a bit to refit it at the bottom - I can see there is a bit of a knack....
I'm happy with the LED's and I'm carrying the original globes in the glovebox and will swap them over before the 30k service - at that time I'll take it up with the dealer.
Hopefully I don't have to trek up to Albion but I appreciate the alternative.

Re: Anyone else with burnt/damaged DRLs?

At Heartland Castle Hill yesterday I showed them the hazy DRL lenses and burnt sockets. The response was a clear (and I have it in writing) "Jeep does not warrant replacement for this issue."

It seems we are on our own to try to fix it. I too have now ordered LED bulps. Has anybody tried to wipe the inside of the lens?

For the rear brake lights the written response is "there is a dull spot which could be caused by heat - customer to return if light start to leak", they did not want to take off the light to inspect for a hole.

I would take what Heartland say with a grain of salt. I think if you wait, you will see a change of heart.

I've got a nil value invoice that clearly states the parts were replaced under Jeep warranty. If you require a copy to counter the response you got, PM me and I'll send it over.

Re: Anyone else with burnt/damaged DRLs?

Hi everyone,
Spoke to Jeep service in Melbourne and I have a job number.
I encouted a remark like what is your concern, My reply was I am an electrical engineer and when a lamp holder indicates heat fatigue I am concerned.
I am interested in a job number so that if My jeep was to catch fire that I can have this call and My concerns noted.
Yep got a job number.
On Friday I will be at Narellan Jeep and from my previous experience with then I believe I will have no issues.
Has any one received iinformation in relation to a fix.
John W

There's a few links on this thread. See post 70. These work fine as DRL's however I am not happy with the brightness as tail/stop lights and have ordered a couple of CREE's due any day now.
