Sounds good then. Add me to the list!

Re: Anyone Interested In Petitioning HQ in US?

The sand driving inability is a big issue. Not sure if this should be on the petition or some sort of class action regarding these vehicles not being fit for purpose.

Hi Mendo I am looking at ordering a GC soon and after reading this part of the forum am thinking twice, But may i ask what dealer you are using as i think this could be a big help to me if i go down this path. I hope there in Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

I went to the Salters dealers @ Springwood in Brisbane (maybe the dealer principal reads this site) and was trying to find out about the car and all the Older sales person wanted was an order and did not know much about what he was trying to sell. At the end of it it was "are you going to order today? if not i have other things to do" I would love to get a good dealer and a sales persons name that i can go and take my business to, with any luck they have a good service dept as well. Does any one remember when Jeep only sold so so cars and no one would buy one. Now they have a great product ( well so I thought) and now they think they can treat there customers ( the people that in the end pay there wages) like crap.

So any one that can please help find a great dealer with good service from sales and Service dept please pass there details on

Had the same from the older guy at Salter's, should be selling shady jap imports on a back street lot. Told me the Cherokee's were no longer made and all sorts of BS. Bought both of ours from Marco at Leo Muller. Found him very helpful, got to drive loads of different cars, different engines not pushy, quite informative although after three months on this forum, you get to know a lot more than any dealer. Seek him out. With regard to the affiliated service centres, the jury is still out. Gonna give Mansfield a miss and try Albion. Good Luck.

Scuderia Veloce Motors at Mosman, Sydney were good to deal with but their after sales service leaves a lot to be desired. I'm going to try Suttons at Waitara for the next services. They were good when I had the Commodore. I'm just not sure how much they know about Jeeps.

This may be a reflash issue because I've had my GC on sand twice with no problems. It performed brilliantly other than getting bogged because the tyre pressure wasn't low enough.

Not a reflash issue. The have known about it since at least oct 2011, and still don't have a resolution other then to reset the computer and pray. I have been on the beach a dozen times with only one occasion of the error occurring. And that was two weeks ago.

I'm in Toowoomba and use armstrongs. All car salesmen are the same. I knew 10 times more than him. He has since moved on. You need to do your own research and make your own purchase decisions. I had a pretty bad experience at Leo muller. Marco must have improved as he was very helpful but green and was extremely unprofessional when I told him I'd decided on Armstrongs.

Armstrongs service department is very good and has a large number of jeeps going through there so know what they are doing. It would be worth the trip up the hill. Clive is the salesman there now he is newish so refer to my first point but the pricing is really competitive.

Good luck with your purchase.
